1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / A fancy Owl and Dapper Robot! on: August 10, 2012 10:30:39 PM
These were for a recent swap. They are my first two hoops ever! I think they turned out well.

I made the robot have a top hat and a monocle, not just because it is awesome, but also because I didn't put them on the owl even though my boyfriend begged me to put a top hat on the owl for some reason  Cheesy

Hope everyone enjoys!
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Friendship is.... MAGIC! on: August 02, 2012 08:00:19 PM
This is a gift for a friend of my boyfriends. He has a sign in his office that says NO PONY FOR YOU! Which is what he directs people to when they ask him for things that they do not need or deserve. Making it AppleJack from Friendship is Magic was actually my boyfriends idea. He was like "DO THAT ONE, IT LOOKS LIKE A TEXAS PONY!" (His friend is from texas)

The tail took a god awful long time to finish lol

I didn't have a pattern, so I just made my own which actually turned out pretty well.

Let me know what you think!
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Mermaid Pendent on: July 21, 2012 04:07:34 PM
WOW! This took me a long time to make.

Was it the polymer clay back that took a long time? Noooo...that wasn't it.

Was it cutting out the little mermaid and layering her on card stock over and over to make her stand out?.... Noooo that wasn't it.

The matching earrings took me all of 10 minutes as a last minute thought....

Oh I know why it took so long, I accidentally super glued little purple beads all over my skirt Cheesy I made these for my craft swap group. It was a pirate swap. I think it turned out lovely, and secretly wished I could have kept it! Hehe.
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My latest stuffed monster! on: June 23, 2012 08:37:42 PM
I love making stuffed monsters! I use old clothing, and anything I can get my hands on really!

This is Snarly. I gave him to my sweetheart as a gift. Nothing says love like a monster with big gnashing teeth! For me I think the hardest part to finish was the mouth. Getting all of those teeth to stay in place took forever.

It took me months to finish him. After I made the body I just got stuck.

Then I got this red fluffy faux fur, and it all came together.

This was also before I actually had a sew room.

All in all, the finished project ended up nice and scary.

Hello everyone!

I will act as the Swap Organizer and set everything up, pick partners, and keep everything running smoothly.

The first meeting will be on May 26th.

If you are interested let me know and I will PM you with the details!
