2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Ron-Ron the leprechaun's new chapeau!! on: February 20, 2008 02:43:28 PM
This is my little nephew Ronnie's new(ish) hat that I knitted up for him... it was possibly the most fun/easy thing to knit ever!

It's been so long since I have posted anything on craftster that I'm not sure I did it the right way...

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Layette Set fit for a Mermaid Princess... on: June 14, 2006 08:51:02 AM
Layette Set although it has nothing to do with mermaids it's for a baby named Arielle... (yup like the Little Mermaid  Wink )
I finished this a while ago, but was WAAYY TOO LAZY to post it.
The pattern was from a Patons Family Favorites book, and VERY easy to follow.
And that's the beauty of baby clothes... (that, and booties ALWAYS get the *awww* factor)

Un-finished... but that is the book that I found the pattern in.

And finally finished... Yarn is beehive baby, which was called for. Ribbon and flowers are from Walmart craft section, and little pearl heart shaped buttons are either from Wool Tyme or Yarn Forward.
in case it won't work it's posted on my blog... www.bluebirdknits2.blogspot.com
5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions / Just a few questions from a "scrapbooker wannabe" on: January 24, 2006 07:19:50 PM
Hi everyone!
Two of my best friends are getting married this year, one in the summer and one in the fall, I am maid of honor in both weddings, and I thought it would be nice if I suprised them each with scrapbooks of the planning process, BUT I have no idea what to do to make them... Or where to get supplies to start them (in the Ottawa area)  Do you need special glue? Is it possible to get a wedding themed album? Or one that's really pretty (I have only ever seen just black or brown ones)  Anyway, sorry for the zillion questions, but if anyone has any tips, or little tricks that they could give me, that'd be awesome!!!
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / First picture post... it's a Patons Decor hat... on: January 17, 2006 08:33:46 AM

This is my sister in law, in her new hat... as you can see she loves it. It's a good thing to have during this freakishly cold Ontario week...

I got the pattern from a pattern book for Patons decor. There is a HUGE tassel in it also... She has the mittens to go with it, but they never made it into the picture.

(we'll see if that works now)
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Snow Drift Mittens on: October 06, 2005 09:35:36 AM
I love these mittens and I was just wondering if anyone had made these, or (this may sound like a bonehead question) if someone would know if there was a difference between OLD UK needle size and what I guess is called "NEW" UK size, it calls for size 11 UK...  Huh    http://www.knitting-and.com/knitting/patterns/mittens/snowdrift.htm
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Set in sleeves on: May 17, 2005 03:16:00 PM
After making zillions of raglan style sweaters knit in the round, I decided to try a set in sleeve one, knit on straight needles. Unfortunatly not only do I hate sewing, but I am very bad at it. And I can't seem to get the sleeves sewn on right,   Huh  I was wondering if anyone knew any little tricks to sewing the sleeves on so they look nice and not messy
9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Buck and Doe tickets on: May 09, 2005 11:08:17 PM
My very good friend just told me a few weeks ago she was getting married, and she wants me in the wedding party, so of course I am VERY happy for her and I promised her I would do anything to help out. So last night the Best Man called me, and gave me the information about the Buck and Doe, which is on the 21st, and asked me what he should do for tickets, So I was wondering if anyone could think of any easy (and not overly costly ways to make them)  Smiley
