My favorite food is Ham. I am a huge meat eater, so i am all about that ham with pineapple!

I am shipping tomorrow!

Check in Time!!

Do you have a favorite dish for the holidays? Maybe you make it, maybe Grandma makes it, what is it?

For special holidays we make Cottage Cheese Rolls. They sound disgusting to a lot of people, but they are amazing!  My kids beg for them.lol

Mine is defiantly Hey Santa. I fricken love that song, mostly because me and my bestie will belt it at the top of our lungs in the early AM hours. Only dogs can hear us now.

Crafting update, I have given my self an earlier deadline to ship, as i will be working doubles the week before i leave town to DISNEY WORLD (YEEEEES), and the ship date is when I shall be in disney world. So i wanna make sure my amazing partner gets her gear on time!

Also, Tricky I am really sorry to hear about your Aunt, My great aunt recently passed to and i know how hard it is to enter a season filled with traditions and family and to be missing a big part of them. </3 I wish nothing but healing for you and yours this season.

Check In Question!!!

What is your absolute favorite Christmas, or Winter, song?

Mine is 'Baby, It's Cold Outside' - I love most versions, but my favorite is the one by Dean Martin.

My tree is always real, we cut it down the first week of Dec and bring it home from a tree farm. I do not have a theme.

Check In Question Time - this is a 3 parter! Smiley

Do you put up a real tree or artificial?  Is your tree themed? When do you put it up?

We always did real trees and they bothered my asthma, so a few years ago we finally switched to artificial.  Not as pretty, but it's ok.  Our tree is not themed, unless you count hodge podge as a theme! We have a lot of handmade ornaments, special event ornaments and my Grandma's ornaments.  I try to put it up on Thanksgiving, but usually at some point that weekend.

Ive finished with at least half of my crafted items for the swap, but my stocking still looks like crap. haha. I always do one practice one before i do the real one so i can learn from my mistakes and not have to give them to people! LOL.

I joked with my partner that i was going to send her both stocking so she could laugh at me and my complete lack of sewing machine skills.

And because i am a naughty girl who did not check in on the first one! Here i am!!

My favorite christmas present was a necklace that my mother had made for me out of one of my grandmothers sterling silver knives. My grandmother passed away when i was 10, right before our family made its first military move so we didn't really have time to mourn her passing. In the box with the necklace there was a lil card that said, and now she can be close to your heart forever. Something she held in her hand will always be around my neck.

Okay, Checkin #1:

What was the best Christmas present you have received as an adult?

The best for me, because it was so funny, was sock monkey pajamas from Santa.  I really don't care for sock monkeys but my hubby adores them.  So Santa brought me pj's and I laughed so hard I cried.  Then I wore the darned things.lol

I used to travel all over the country to see family starting the week before christmas and ending on new years day. Kinda like a holiday split. BUTTT.... As ive gotten older and got a full time job its been pretty impossible to visit anyone. I am a retail pet store groomer, so holidays I work. Now i just spend the holidays with friends and family that comes to see me!

Ok, 2nd check in time!!

How many places do you visit for Christmas? Do you do all of them on Christmas Day?

We attend a party for my side of the family at my aunt's a couple weeks before Christmas.  We do not go to my parents or his parents for the holidays - my parents and most of the siblings are estranged and his parents got mad at us a couple of years ago.  Oh well.  We go to hubby's aunt's house every other year on Christmas Day.

It's a lot more relaxing and enjoyable than it used to be! Smiley
