13  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Hooded Dresses // Vintage Sheets on: October 08, 2012 12:58:57 PM
Would I be dating myself if I admitted that the second dress is made from the same design of sheets I used to own in the 70's? My parents let me paint that same design on my closet doors, so I had the cool room.

I think I like the dress version better. Cheesy

I had them too! On a waterbed no less Smiley

15  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Make Your Own Vanilla Extract *UPDATE* on: September 26, 2012 11:00:28 PM
I make tinctures and extracts from various herbs and I wouldn't recommend using more expensive vodka or a flavored vodka. The only important feature is the proof and you don't want any additives interfering with your tincture. If you want more extraction, you could use everclear but if you are getting the flavor you want you probably don't need to.  Smiley

beautiful! and I can empathize with the pain and finger wear. I had to discontinue wire work for a while! sticking to weaving and polymer clay to let my finger-cracks heal Smiley
