Class: Astronomy
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: iPod Beanbag (star fabric)
Project Page Link: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=410745.0
Brief Description: So when I do my cross stitch I like to sit in bed and watch Youtube videos etc on my iPod. Now my iPod is rather slippery so it often slides from where ever I have strategically placed it. Today I decided to make a beanbag for it so I can sit it on my knee and craft away without having to try not to move or having to pick it up all the time.

So I sat down, sketched what I wanted then made a pattern. I then spent the afternoon hand sewing it. It has a larger triangular part at the back which is filled with rice and a little ledge at the front to hold up the iPod which is made from kebab skewers.

Project Picture:

(On the screen is a show that Muggles love! It is called The Big Bang Theory, I am studying it for my Muggle Studies and I think it is brilliant!)

Sorry about the terrible photos, I only have my phone camera.

(watching some Big Bang Theory bloopers!)

It works a treat (as you can kinda see)

3  Owl Hoop in Needlework: Completed Projects by tattooedcupcake on: June 27, 2012 09:05:01 PM
So i just finished this simple hoop, it is a free pattern from Kincavel Krosses. I wanted to something quick so I had something finished as I normally do bigger projects that take forever! Not sure what I am going to do with it now. Smiley

It was also used for the Harry potter Craftalong.

Brief Description: This is from a free pattern from Kincavel Krosses and I changed the colours.
Project Picture:

Sebastian is my owl and he misses his girlfriend (I think she got lost on her way to Hogwarts) so to cheer him up I stitched him a portrait of her. I just hope the other owls don't get jealous!

Bows are crafty right? Well I think they are.

Got these about a year ago, the photo was taken just after I had them done. The white has faded so that it looks like light reflection (thats what it was meant to do). And I also managed to fall asleep for a bit while they were being done Smiley

Also they look a bit off placement wise but that was just how I was standing. They are perfectly aligned Smiley

8  Polka Dot Tea Wallet in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by tattooedcupcake on: April 18, 2012 10:32:43 PM
So this was my first attempt at making one. I don't have access to a sewing machine right now so it was all done by hand. I also forgot to pick up interfacing at the fabric store so I lined it with a sheet of felt. It makes it rather bulky, so when I make more of them I will make sure I use interfacing. I will also use a sewing machine. But this one is for me so its ok, it can look a bit special. I used a snap dome closure and made a cute wee bow on top. I think I might add a black star button at some stage.

The bit to close it is different from most other I have seen, the ribbon is sewn across the front, and it seems a bit more secure than the loop ones I have seen.

Hope you like it

9  Burlesque Zombie Pinup Girl Cross Stitch in Needlework: Completed Projects by tattooedcupcake on: April 16, 2012 08:37:17 AM
She is amazing! Most of this was completed while on the bus on route to my vet nursing course (and in my lunch breaks). A lot of hours went into her and I am rather proud!

Hope you like her Smiley
