21  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Anthropologie-inspired capelet- By julsey723 on: February 17, 2006 02:13:46 PM
thanks, necia!  that helped, i ended up using little hairties for the markers and they worked.  BUT now i have another question...if you're supposed to slip the marker on row 3 of the raglan increase part, how are you supposed to know where to purl to the next time you're supposed to purl to a marker?  i'm not sure if i'm saying this right but am i missing something?  what i've done so far is the first three rows of the raglan increase, then knit the next WS row so i'm ready to do the next RS row, which means i have to purl to a marker but there isnt one! ahhh i'm so confused

hi all! i'm going to start this tonight and hopefully finish it over the weekend while i'm visiting family in upstate new york (fun times)  anyways, i'm pretty much horrible at knitting and this question is probably really dumb but uh, how do you place a marker and..what do you use as a marker?  just an extra piece of yarn or something? thanks! Smiley

now i can't decide whether i want to use this leftover fishermans wool i have or go out and buy some new pretty yarn.  decisions decisions..
