woohoo i can't wait to get started on this, either.  i'm using plymouth encore dk weight, in light blue and a heather-y chocolate brown, hopefully it works.  i haven't actually bought the pattern yet, though, because i know if i do now i'll never finish the orangina im in the middle of working on.

i just finished this the other day, it does fit a little weird but still wearable (i used sugar and cream kitchen cotton to make it..probably not the best choice but it's so cheap!)

ooh i'm so glad to have found this! i started knitting this a few days ago, with tlc 'cotton plus' on sz 3 needles.  so far i'm pretty sure it's the right gauge, i did a swatch and it looked to be just about right on.  i can't wait for it to be warm enough to wear out!

18  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Anthropologie-inspired capelet- By julsey723 on: February 22, 2006 07:58:14 AM
i finished mine a couple days ago and have been waiting for it to warm up a little bit to wear it for pictures, BUT its still freezing here so the pictures are just on a hanger  Undecided

i messed up the increases on the back, and its really lumpy in general because i had to use big needles to get the right gauge.  i'm thinking about blocking it but i'll probably just end up wearing it as is.  its made on paton's classic wool, which was on sale at ac moore for 3.99$!  thanks again for such an easy/quick project!
19  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / a pattern for shorts/pants? on: February 21, 2006 06:35:11 AM
i've googled and searched here and can't seem to find a pattern for a pair of either shorts or pants (that i'd modify to be shorts)   does anyone have any ideas or know of any?  thanks for any help Smiley
