so i just finished mine, tried it on, and realized it worked ALOT better as a skirt rather than a tube top.  also, i changed the pattern around quite a bit (using my own measurements and such), and also instead of doing stockinette stitch at the top i did 1x1 twisted rib in fishermans wool. oh, and the lacework is done in knitpicks shine worsted in apple green (so soft! so nice! so cheap! i love it.)

here it is:

okay so i searched through other peoples questions on this pattern and i have another one.  i've made socks before, (once), but i can never get the picking up stitches part right (after you turn the heel)  so i'm trying to follow this pattern precisley but i'm getting really frustrated.  first, after you turn the heel, it says to K4, change to D, pm, k4 with needle 1.  so if you're supposed to knit the second set of four on needle 1, what needle is the first set of 4 knit on?  then, it says to hold an empty needl ein your right hand and insert it into the slipped stitch from front to back..i thought i understood that, but then how are you suppoesd to knit it if it's on the right side?  are you supposed to turn it around so that the stitch you just picked up with your right hand is now in your left hand, and knit tbl that way?  i'm so freakin confused / frustrated, can anyone help?

i finished mine and ugh, it's way too wide/short and looks so crappy on me.  i'm going to try it on again now and see if i can try to salvage it, i guess
