What about sewing a slip cover thing instead of safety pin?

Long rectangle with Velcro to close it. Then when it's dirty you can wash it.

I've had this mustache fabric for a while and just didn't really know what to do with it.. Then I ordered some of this red for a dress I NEEDED for last Sunday.. SURPRISE.. It got here Monday. Anyway, I put this together and am in loveeee.

I plan on making a matching bonnet.

Just finished this top, first time I've made myself an article of clothing. I'm pretty glad with how this turned out. I have this top that my DH lurvessss of mine. And it has some holes in it now so I cut it up, modified it and made this!
 




I'd make DD one, but I think that'd be awkward.. Lol
