Ian said he did not really like it that much, so I thinking about giving to a friend who might appreciate him more. The pattern is from the crafty button UK

Thanks for looking

I have also included this picture of my latest octopus (with Zoidberg) Macy!!!

Macy will be for sale Smiley

14  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Jack the octopus **IMage Heavy* on: January 10, 2013 09:00:05 PM
One of the lovely ladies I work with has been having a bit of trouble with customer since she has come back to work. So Jack (the luckiest name numerolgywise) was made!!

Jack was hand sewn and his pattern is from the Crafty button UK. On the website it gives permission to sell what you make but not to re sell the pattern, so I maybe making some up to sell.

I also have a bow tie obsession, so he has an Argyle bow tie Smiley

His heart:

I made a 4 leaf clover for Luck Smiley I used different shape buttons and colours because I wanted it to look more eclectic than just an applique

Manille loves Jack

15  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Disney Jack Skeelington on: January 06, 2013 06:37:02 PM
HI everyone,

I made a Jack Skellington head Smiley

I hand embroidered the webs in his ears and the stitches for his mouth.

Ian "Helped" me sew the ears, so they are not perfect Mickey Mouse ears, he was so proud. So I did not have the heart to redo them. I believe it gives him more personality.

He is made of polar fleece so he is super soft and cuddly.

Sorry I am still working on my photographyt skills Smiley

Hi everyone,

I have just started a blog. It is the first time I have ever tried to do this and I was just looking for some opinions, constructive criticism (don't rip me to pieces) on how it is/ how I can improve.

Any feedback will be appreciated

Does anyone know how I get my blog to come up on a google search or how to get the about me section on the side??

19  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Alternate for doe skin on: December 03, 2012 04:58:44 AM
Hi everyone,

I am still quite new to crafting and everything I make seems to be in faux fur (hides mistakes reallyligh easily) but I have a pattern I want to complete but the fabric I need is doeskin (please tell me it is not actually made from animals)

I was wondering what is a good alternative for doe skin?? Would felt or fleece work just as well?? Or do I need to buy some doe skin online. If so can you direct me to a website that sells it??

I am in Australia and I have been to Spotlight, lincraft and smaller places, but can not find it.

Thanks in advance Smiley
