I'm working on a lizard and I want to make him into a heating pad type stuffie.  I'm wondering if felt is microwavable or should I just go with plain fabric?

So mainly, what I need is a simple tomato pattern.  Anyone able to help?

I used half a sheet of purple felt, and cut the stomach out of aqua felt, sewed it on with normal thread, and stuffed him with polyfill.

I'm working on another one now.  I'm practicing on odd felt I have around the house until I feel competent enough to do one on the actual Totoro colored felt I have here.
