1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Easter / Re: Natural-Dye Easter Eggs on: April 07, 2012 03:03:00 AM
I just died eggs too - will get back with pictures later (whenever I've reached 10 posts...) Smiley I have this far made yellow (turmeric) and orange (yellow onion peel). I plan to make blue and green too!

I got a list from the below link, for the different colours:

I think I need to make one of these now for easter (might be a bit late...) but will definitelly keep in mind for next year! I usually put up a still life out of fruits and whatnots, but this is a really pretty alternative!
3  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Clapotis from Knitty on: April 06, 2012 05:26:18 AM
The ktbl sts are to stablise the edges of the drop st column and skipping a few of them won't hurt anything.

Exactly this! It will look better if you remember them though, but it is not the end of the world if you forget it... Smiley I did this scarf a a couple of years ago, still one of my favourite knits! Rather quick and the end result is great!
4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Recent Stuff on: April 06, 2012 05:21:33 AM

aliis - I always use one brush and that's just the round brush set at the hardest edge.  It's the brush settings that I change.  Depending on what I'm doing, outlining, coloring or what have you, I only toggle a few settings and they're always set to pen pressure (shape dynamics, other dynamics, and sometimes color dynamics).  I've not had luck with special brushes, but have been wanting to give a real go at them for a while.  Some day I plan to let loose and see what happens.

This was exactly what I was going to ask!
Great work. I love how you get it to look as if you're using markers. Very nice indeed!
