1  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Snack Swap Four! CLOSED Send Outs 13th July on: July 02, 2011 05:06:04 AM
+1 for craft anxiety! I've loads of ideas for snacks and things, but when it comes to making things... terror!

I've started hunting down a few goodies for my partner- going to make up a list for the rest today! But I think I should probably hold out until the last minute to make any more purchases...too much temptation!

I've been hanging out in the sweets aisle, errr, conducting research for this swap since partners were assigned. It's so hard not to buy everything for myself!

Just out of curiosity, what are some U.S. treats that you ladies in other countries are hoping for? I know Reeses and Kool Aid are biggies. But what else is in high demand?

I get pretty excited about peanut butter m&ms and pop tarts (there is a place in a city about an hour from where I live that sells them, but at TEN BUCKS!!!! a box, I abstain). The U.S. has all types of sugary treats that we don't have in Australia.

I just sent in my questionnaire Smiley And now I will get myself a snack.
6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Re: Ripley's Believe It Or Not! Wants My Dress on: June 01, 2011 08:59:31 PM
I don't think I would even bother selling them for $450. That much money probably wouldn't even buy you a nice dress from a high-street shop. Ultimately, the decision you need to make is whether you would rather have the two dresses in your possession or the money.

But that said, I wonder (and think you should be wondering) what you would get for them if you sold them through, for example, Ebay or Etsy? Or a gallery for that matter? What do ordinary prom dresses sell for? If you are going to sell you should be looking for the best offer.

Also keep in mind: if you were working for minimum wage, the amount of money you would have earned in the time you spent making those dresses would be more than they are offering you for them.

Best, best, BEST wishes to you!

Every time I see a recipe that is "Eggless, butterless, sugarless" or similar I tend to read "Eggless, butterless, joyless" but that looks really good and I love that it has maple syrup and applesauce, yummo! I will have to try it and be proven wrong Cheesy

Oh, those skirts are so pretty! I would love to know how you do it- are you just incredibly petite or does it take some serious alteration? Your style is so cute ^^
