11  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: A Castle Quilt on: April 07, 2012 02:21:27 AM
That's a beautiful quilt. I can just see a child having wonderful adventures with princesses and knights and dragons on it. Smiley

I'm in the process of handsewing the binding on a blanket I knit. It is painfully slow! But hopefully will look as nice as yours when I'm finished.
12  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Car Seat Quilt on: April 07, 2012 02:16:38 AM
This is lovely. My LO is a bit bigger, but still in a car seat. Maybe I'll make him one for his new seat.
13  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Fabric activity square for a toddler on: April 06, 2012 03:00:41 PM
This is an activity square I made for my nephew (15 months). It has a zip, some rings on elastic, some texture ropes and a couple of buckles.

I think the buckles are too strong for him, which is a shame. Next time, they should be smaller and weaker, for little hands...
14  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Handmade fabric Aeroplane Activity Table on: April 06, 2012 02:34:46 PM
This is an aeroplane activity table that I made for my one year old son. It fits over the plane tray table and is held tight with velcro straps. He can pull all the bits really hard without us losing anything!  I can report that it had a little room to spare on an SAS flight, and was a tight fit (both width and getting the table down in front of him on my lap) on BA.

There's more info including pictures and an explanation on how I made some of the parts on my blog: everytower.blogspot.se/2012/03/aeroplane-activity-centre.html?m=1

He's really cute. You should definitely give the machine a go, but don't give up hand sewing completely! You just can't get something to look like this beautifuul little owl on a machine.

These are great! Think I will have to start collecting ideas, suspect these could be very popular in our house in a year or so...

Lol. I can totally imagine having that Skype conversation with my niece. Maybe it was hard to see one horn on the screen? (or matbe EVERYTHING is a unicorn at the moment?)

So sweet. Hope they'll be well loved.

What a cute cake topper. Very appropriate for a rainbow cake. Bright a cheerful, just what any four year old should love.

I love your lion. The detail is very well done. Hope she goes to an appreciative new owner.

What style! I love those eyelashes. The stripes and the spiders. So much character! Smiley
