1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Seeking pattern for crossover back pinafore apron on: April 22, 2012 12:02:20 PM
I've been wanting to make an apron, and now I've seen some images of what I'm after on the net.  I want to make something like this:

http://pinterest.com/pin/286682332499651323/ (Pin doesn't link to anything)

A grownup version of this: http://smashedpeasandcarrots.blogspot.se/2011/05/little-girls-crossover-pinafore-pattern.html

Now I've seen a couple of images I like, but I can't find any patterns. So I was wondering if anyone here's seen something? Preferably free, but if I have to pay, so be it.

Thanks for any tips you can give me!
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Shoulder bag from upholstery fabric samples on: April 18, 2012 03:09:01 AM
I made this bag to put a present in, and it can be reused as a knitting project bag (or simple shoulder bag). It is made from two rectangles of upholstery fabric that came from a sample book, and an embroidered band I bought in a market in Ecuador.

There's a little more detail on my blog.

Great bag. That fabric is so lovely for spring.

I just made a new change bag that's a bit smaller than our old monster. I posted it today, and there's more pictures on my blog: http://everytower.blogspot.com.

What does yours look like inside? i took a look at your blog, it looks stylish and practical. Smiley

That's a great fabric. Hope your Mum uses it loads.

Here's the fab new nappy change bag I made for and my son (and husband). It's made from a pattern by sa Sandblad.

I'm really happy with it, but it's not waterproof. Does anyone know if there are any sprays I can use on normal quilt fabric, to make it more water resistant?

There's a longer description of the features on my blog: http://everytower.blogspot.se/2012/03/new-baby-change-bag.html

Wow! That is sooo intricate! How on earth people find the patience to work so small is beyond me (instant gratification, that's me!).

I hope you're really happy, that is one beautiful, unique, cosy quilt you've created.

This is a great idea. I suspect I'm going to have a touh time parting from some of my LO's outgrown things.

Did the squares roll up at the edges a lot? How did you manage this?
