Oh wise and all-knowing Craftsterettes, please can you help me?
I have a problem with stocking stitch (and yeah, if you've got a problem with stocking stitch you might as well throw the whole thing at the wall and pick up your trusty crochet hook). I would swear, swear, that I'm doing both knit & purl stitches exactly as a harmony guide, stitch n bitch and Maggie Righetti would tell me to. And I'll go along fine for a good long time. But then all of a sudden I'll finish a purl row & the stitches are all presented to me twisted so that I have to knit in the back of the stitch to get them to lie straight. What could I be doing wrong? I guess the most obvious answer is that I'm mucking up my purling somehow, but I really can't see how.
Worst of all, this appears to be like a knitter's version of the yips: once the first twisted row shows up, it's quickly followed by others.
