*** some verbiage was copied from the original swap

This swap is an ANY MEDIA art swap. Anything goes! Embroidery, graphic arts, wood burning, pastels, charcoal, paint, decoupage, crochet, knit, quilted, glass etching, metal etc. ANYTHING goes as long as it can hang on a wall.

The only requirement is that the size be 11x14 or smaller. Or, if its decided between partners, you may do a series of smaller pieces of art but please make sure its agreed that the swap is equal on both sides. In other words, one participant might send an 8x10 and might receive 5 ATCs. This is NOT equal. Please use your best judgment
I think this is one swap where you really need to discuss with your partner what sizes they might want or be ok with!

You can choose 1 or 2 partners.

Extras are not required but if you'd like to send extras, talk to your partner.

Check into the swap thread every week!

13  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Polymer Santa Ornaments on: March 30, 2016 11:36:16 AM
I made these santa ornaments for the mini 12 days of Christmas swap.
Just a word of advice - read the labels!  I bought "modeling" clay by accident and they melted all over the place when I baked them and I had to redo them!  Shocked

The inspiration came from pinterest

14  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / baby blanket on: March 30, 2016 10:02:34 AM
this was a baby blanket I made for a friend. I really like the shell stitch

15  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / fleece blanket with crocheted edging on: March 30, 2016 10:00:18 AM
I did this for the 12 mini days of Christmas swap.  I had always wanted to edge something in crochet.  It was a little more tedious than I anticipated.  Luckily I had read a tip that said use a seam ripper to punch the holes in the fleece.  The first directions I had read said to use a large needle which did not work that well.

It's time for another shrine swap!  You and your partner will swap 3 points worth of shriny goodness.
1 point = small shrine ~ 2.5"x3.5" (63.5mm x 88.9mm) think ATC size or altoid tin
2 points = medum shrine ~ 4"x4" to 7"x7" or something in between - does not have to be square, these are just sample sizes) (101.6mm x 177.8mm)
3 points = large shrine 8" or bigger (203.2mm)

*** the above is just a guideline.  Time and effort can also affect the points/size

There are places you can buy shrine kits - just google 'altered shrine kits' or you can use ordinary objects, altoid tins, tin cans, shadowboxes, wooden boxes, bottles, dolls, etc. Shrines do not have to be square or rectangle.

Make sure to discuss with your partner.  Each person will list at least 5 themes.  Sending extras is always nice but not mandatory and that should also be discussed with your partner!
Make sure to post in the thread at least once a week. If you do not post it will be noted in your feedback.

Delivery Confirmation is required within the U.S. Send tracking number to both your partner and organizer when you send. A mailing receipt need to be kept if sending elsewhere.

PM both your partner and organizer when you send and receive.

Please post pictures of what you receive. If you are unable to post pictures, please plan with your partner to have them do so. Posting pics is not required but it sure is fun to see pics of everyone's work!

Details of swap:

The 4x6 Art swap runs like this:  You make a piece of art, in your style, in your medium, how you want.  The only parameters are that you keep it flat(ish), and 4 inches by 6 inches in size. You will have no idea who your partner is, until "Address time", which will be at the end of the crafting period.  You also have to "check in" with me, the organizer in the week after the sign ups close - this lets me know that you are ready to send. If you do not check in, you will be removed from the swap. And then you will only know their address and proper name. You will then have just under 1 week to ship your personal art off!

Here is the time line broken down:
~ Sign ups: June 13 June 20, 2015
~ Crafting period: Starts NOW June 13 June 28, 2015
~ You are required to check in with the organizer via pm between the dates of June 21-27.  Anyone who has not checked in by midnight (EST) on June 27 will be dropped from the swap and will not receive an address to send to.
~ Addresses will be distributed on  June 28, 2015
~ You must ship June 29 July 2, 2015

Swap Rules:
~ Please communicate within the thread at least once per week.
~ No extras please!  Since the only communication will be through this thread, and there will be no discussion among partners, we don't want anyone feeling upset they didn't send an extra!

20  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Chunky Book Pages on: June 08, 2015 10:30:57 AM
I did a private swap with someone from another site and I made her 2 5"7" pages for a chunky book she is putting together.  I had actually not heard of chunky books and had to look it up.  It basically seems like chunky pages are mini art journal pages or larger ATCs that have heavy embellishments and 3-D embellishments and where the backside is lightly decorated to go with the front side.

I went with her Doctor Who and uplifting quote themes.

The exploding Tardis.  I saw the button thing on a blog somewhere and have been wanting to try that out.  it was kind of awkward and I ended up using superglue to glue some of them down.  The backside has the Doctor's name in Gallifreyan.  This was from a homemade stamp made by our very own PerfectlyBohemian.

This was just your basic mixed-media/collage page.
