I worked on my pieces last weekend and left them to dry and haven't been in my craft room since.  I'll go and revisit them this weekend and decide if I need to do more to them.

I am a bad partner.  I have not posted pics of the great pocket letter bigbangmomma sent me several days ago!
She really took the time and catered the pocket letter to my likes Smiley  I love it.

She went with my cat theme, my love of coloring books pens.  And she included the "soft kitty" song on it from The Big Bang Theory Smiley  I love it when Peny sings that song.

here's a pic of the pocket letter outside the pockets so there's no glare:

The back ( the top middle is my very first craftster card - I blanked out the name and pic since I wasn't sure how bigbangmomma felt about having it posted on the internet!)

and all the goodies:
She included 4 adorable charms that say "handmade with love"
in the upper right are 2 adorable cute cat buttons
and a stack of UPC codes - I like using these in mixed media art
and some orange passionfruit jasmine tea I can't wait to try.

Thanks so much for a great pocket letter, bigbangmomma!

So as a Washi tape novice, to more experienced Washi tape users, what are your favorite things to make/use it for?

things I use it for:
- mixed-media art/junk journal pages / ATCs
- I use it as tape when I wrap gifts - or use it to decorate plain gift bags
- I use it to cover clothespins and add a magnet for the fridge to hold notes: http://www.thepinjunkie.com/2015/03/washi-tape-clothespins.html
- I've made a bunch of magnetic bookmarks - http://lemonsqueezyhome.com/2013/05/magnetic-washi-tape-bookmarks-diy.html
- Decorate envelopes / stationary
- decorate the edge of pocket letters Smiley the side with the holes.  Lay on a long strip of washi on one side, repunch the holes with a hole punch, then do the same for the other side
- I also keep a sort of bullet jurnal for work "to do" items and another for craft swaps.   Iwill use washi to divide a page into sections. or put it on the edge of a page as a kind of page divider.

I'm sure I've done a lot more than that but those are the things that came to mind

I once had a friend come over and sit in a chair in the doorway of my craft room and not let me out until I had made substantial progress in organizing Smiley

I love the idea of a zen-like crafting table! Sadly, my current situation is so out of control that every time I even think about starting to clean it up, I get overwhelmed. I need an organizing intervention....or some kind of shelving/boxing system, lol.

I received a great happy mail package from summer6061:

An appropriately geeky envelope!

A nice folder made of heavy black glittery cardstock

The inside of the folder, everything is so nicely packaged!

I love how the inside looks like space

Lots of dalek and lightening shape transfers!

a cat transfer, plastic stencil tags and a flag ATC!

Awesome geeky pocket tags!  I love hos she hit up all my major fandoms:

I love this one!  It's my first Stargate craft!

Summer - I am totally jealous of your cutting machine.  What kind do you have?
Thanks so much for all the awesomeness!

I have sent and received and it's not noted on the first page Smiley

Oh my gosh, I love this gallery. You gals are awesome!!!

Also, I still have photos that I have to get up -- so sorry about that, partners! My weekend was crazy -- I will work on them tonight!

Quick swap housekeeping: Please take a look at the first page of this thread to make sure I have your status up to date. I just went through about 20 emails, and think that we are good, but I'm sure I'm missing something. Thanks! Smiley

Summer - after I mailed your envelope I realized I left the note to go with it on my dining room table.

The green envelope, the mini envelopes out of book pages, and the tags are all decorated used gelli printing.

The cover to the mini junk journal was the box to chicken bacon (who knew there was such a thing).

The doodle is an ATC in an ATC frame card.  So you can either leave it in the frame or take it out and add to an existing ATC collection.

Glad you liked your package!

There's so much happy mail goodness in this gallery and I'm about to add to it!  I received from Geekgirl1000100 the other day!  She put her handmade envelope in a decorated manila envelope.  I like the Zentangled doodle on the manila envelope (I love to Zentangle and am always on the lookout for new patterns and ideas).  The nice thing about the inner green envelope is that I can reuse it!

She made this art/junk journal (I'm not entirely sure what it's referred to as).  It's made up of various fun pages that are just waiting for me to add to them!  It also has two pockets and two itty bitty envelopes that had extra ephemera included in them! And what is the cover made from you ask?  It's the packaging from a bacon, chicken, raspberry soup!  Okay, maybe not that exactly, but some kind of food packaging Smiley.  I love that Geekgirl thought outside the box when she created this mini journal!!

She made and decorated these mini envelopes out of maps and book pages (I love crafts that incorporate book pages!).  The flower badges that she included will be perfect for papercrafting! She also sent a store bought envelope clip.  I'm thinking of incorporating it into a Valentine's Day card for my husband (ooh, or maybe an anniversary card as our anniversary is coming up soon...).

I love the that the cords on these tags coordinate so well!  I might end up using some of the flower badges with these tags to make some gift tags - decisions, decisions...  The doodle in the bottom left is a small art print that I'll put on my craft room desk once I finally get my craft room established.  To the right of the art print is the envelope that it came in.  Last but not least, Geekgirl sent a happy mail stamp.  It will be perfect to use in the next happy mail swap!

Thank you so much Geekgirl1000100 for my happy mail!
