1  Re: Happy Mail 2: The Return of the Doodads Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by geekgirl1000100 on: November 14, 2016 03:57:44 AM
I got my happy mail from noooitaremybirthday.  She made an awesome package.

Pics of the envelope

What we have here from left to right, is a bookmark with extra bits of fuzzy thread, another bookmark with a cute kitty, and fabric twist ties.  It has never occurred to me to make fabric twist ties.  What a great idea.
At the bottom is more extra bits of threads and pompoms and washi tape to feed my ever growing collection!

Next up is a colorful 4x6 art piece and a decorated giant paper clip, with a couple of bottle cap magnets. The left one has the cutest little cat face.

And as if that wasn't enough she included a lovely tote bag.  It's the perfect sized to carry to work!

Thanks so much noooitaremybirthday!

I received this gorgeous mixed-media piece from Smmarrt.
She followed a "recipe" from Donna Downey (I'm going to have to look into her).

You're welcome, Pioneer9 and Smmarrt

I have received from Pioneer9 - a pretty paper piece.  Love the designs/doodles on each section of the tree

I am a bad partner.  I have not posted pics of the great pocket letter bigbangmomma sent me several days ago!
She really took the time and catered the pocket letter to my likes Smiley  I love it.

She went with my cat theme, my love of coloring books pens.  And she included the "soft kitty" song on it from The Big Bang Theory Smiley  I love it when Peny sings that song.

here's a pic of the pocket letter outside the pockets so there's no glare:

The back ( the top middle is my very first craftster card - I blanked out the name and pic since I wasn't sure how bigbangmomma felt about having it posted on the internet!)

and all the goodies:
She included 4 adorable charms that say "handmade with love"
in the upper right are 2 adorable cute cat buttons
and a stack of UPC codes - I like using these in mixed media art
and some orange passionfruit jasmine tea I can't wait to try.

Thanks so much for a great pocket letter, bigbangmomma!

I received a great happy mail package from summer6061:

An appropriately geeky envelope!

A nice folder made of heavy black glittery cardstock

The inside of the folder, everything is so nicely packaged!

I love how the inside looks like space

Lots of dalek and lightening shape transfers!

a cat transfer, plastic stencil tags and a flag ATC!

Awesome geeky pocket tags!  I love hos she hit up all my major fandoms:

I love this one!  It's my first Stargate craft!

Summer - I am totally jealous of your cutting machine.  What kind do you have?
Thanks so much for all the awesomeness!

I received a lovely package from the lovely Beautifulsoul.  We have similar tastes and she was the perfect partner!  We even made some similar items for each other Smiley

A fairy and butterfly pocket letter. I love the beaded border on the top

And the dangly pocketwatch

The back full of goodies:

And these cards are so nicely done.  I really like the image and the blue border around the white part.  Plus some extras: gel pens, letter stamps, a butterflu and a birdcage

A packet of goodies: coloring book pages, adhesive decorative papers (can't wait to use my punches on these),  and some pretty fairy stickers

AND!  An awesome fairy shrine!  I love it!

A pic of the outside just because I love the look of the wood

And a close up of the details.  It's hard to see how shimmery the fairy is.

Thank you Beautifulsoul! It was a great package.

7  Re: Mini Junk Journals in The Swap Gallery by geekgirl1000100 on: August 10, 2016 10:05:53 AM
I received a wonderfully junky junk journal from rscowtown.

The side of the journal:

The front with all kinds of misc junk:

The back with the Ketchup tab!  The cover is made from a McDonalds bag.

Lot's of cool and interesting painted pages.  Is it gelli prints?  Looks like maybe gelli printing on top of waxed paper and the wax paper was used to cover pages from the 3 little pigs Smiley

Lots of pockets and envelopes and tags!

The first pic on the 2nd row is a pocket made from a gum pack.  Cool idea!

Thanks so much rscowtown!

8  Farm Shrine in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by geekgirl1000100 on: July 31, 2016 05:31:07 PM
I made a farm shrine for MissingWillow in the Common Ground swap.

It's mostly polymer clay so I put it here although there are also plastic and metal pieces in the shrine also.

The base I found at a thrift shop and is about 12" high.  Each little level originally had a drawer in it and measures maybe 3" each.

The outside I painted with off white acrylic paint and layered on some bee themed tissue paper and some honeycomb stamped papers (both pilfered from PerfectlyBohemian's stash Smiley )

The top level is a beehine and 2 bees.  Plus a lurking zombie in the corner!
There are also sheep mod podged in the background

The next level are 3 polymer clay sheep and a little plastic chicken. There are also pictures of chickens on the sides of the wall.

here is a pic of a sheep with a quarter for size reference

The last level is a little metal wheelbarrow with polymer clay potatoes and carrots.
There is also a little plastic sheep in the back.  and some gardening tools laying around.

I love working with clay and making shrines and this one was a lot of fun to make.

I forgot to upload one of my pics!
MissingWillow also gave me a variety of wood cut outs and made me a little wallet. It'll be the perfect thing to hold receipts.

And no time like the present.

Quaggy and I both made each other board game pocket letters!  Great minds think alike  Smiley
I like how even though we did the same theme we went in a little bit of a different direction.  I mostly used game components and she did replicas of game boxes and boards which didn't even occur to me!

and without the glare

Love the colorful backs

and all the goodies

Thank you so much quaggy!  I really like my pocket letter!
