Is (dried) watercolor supposed to feel chalky? If it is, I'm doing ok. If not, I need to re-consider Smiley (and any ideas about why it's chalky would be greatly appreciated  Kiss)

what type of water colour paints are you using? (from tube, the pencil, the dried circle ones in a plastic palette)
water colour is very thin and translucent and you should be able to see the paper/ layers under it.
soo, im not quite sure what you mean but- with tubed watercolours its really easy to use too much paint, n not enough water (making it feel/look like acrylics). if its too much paint, it might give a chalky effect?
chalky doesnt have to be a bad thing, if thats what you're going for Tongue

& i sent out yesterday! i think its the first time i've sent out so early!!  Tongue
cant wait till 'thatkid' receives... she wanted me to stick to the theme of bright/fun, i think she'll love what i made! Grin
it was actually really hard for me to let go of my pages, i really liked how they turned out.. i already want a round 2 LOL!

... and I'm currently getting my teaching degree, and I currently teach arts/crafts to 6-8 year olds.. HOW DID YOU KNOW? LOL  Tongue
