11  Boba Fett Hat in Crochet: Completed Projects by hookinmouthcrochet on: September 13, 2012 07:38:32 AM

Here are some pictures of a Boba Fett hat I just finished up earlier this week. The pictures could be better. I think this is one hat that would look better if it was modeled, but it was for a large man's head, so I didn't really have a model for it. The hat is made entirely with Red Heart Super Saver Yarn and felt. I would explain which is which but that could take forever, and I'm sure it is pretty obvious. I probably won't be making another one of these any time soon, as it was pretty labor intensive. I hope you guys like it!

12  Pinkie Pie My Little Pony in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by hookinmouthcrochet on: September 06, 2012 08:38:44 AM

I made this Pinkie Pie Amigurumi from My Little Pony for a friend of mine for her birthday. I found pictures of quite a few Pinkie Pie amis online, but not that I liked 100% so decided to take my own approach. The body and cutie mark are made with Caron Simply Soft Yarn and the hair is made with Peaches N Creme Yarn. I made the eyes and mouth with felt, so I could get the super cute "anime eye" sort of look. I am really excited to give it to her, I can't wait to see what she thinks!

13  Gir Dog Suit Earflap Hat in Crochet: Completed Projects by hookinmouthcrochet on: September 04, 2012 08:50:51 AM

I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to make two Gir hats recently. The first was a Robot Gir Hat and I finally completed this Doggy Gir Hat. I used Red Heart Super Saver Yarn for the whole hat, with the exception of the nose, black part of the eye, and tongue, which are felt. The ears are double sided, so they stand up on their own, but when you walk they will kind of wobble, which I think is cute. I also stuffed the eyes so that they would look 3D. I thought that added some extra character to the hat. The first picture is of my daughter wearing the hat. I couldn't get a normal face out of her, but I think it kind of works for the Gir Hat. That last two aren't much different from each other, just slightly different angles. Enjoy!!

14  Brown and Blue Spotted Piggy in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by hookinmouthcrochet on: August 30, 2012 09:13:19 AM

This is a custom spotted piggy I made for a friend to give to his son for his birthday. I hadn't made a piggy before, but it was surprisingly easy, just very tedious with the spots. I used Red Heart Super Saver Yarn for the body and Caron Simply Soft Yarn for the baby blue parts, mainly because I already had a lot of it around. I also used felt for the eyes and holes in the nose. I kind of want to make one for myself now Cheesy

15  Robot Gir Earflap Hat in Crochet: Completed Projects by hookinmouthcrochet on: August 27, 2012 09:37:34 AM

I actually got two custom orders for Gir hats last week. Luckily one was for Robot Gir and one was for Doggie Gir, still working on Doggie Gir as of right now. As you can see, he has one teal and one red eye, that was a special request from the person who ordered it, I thought it made the hat a little more interesting. I also had fun stuffing the eyes. I wanted them to be 3D because I thought it wouldn't look very much like a robot if they were flat. I made it using Red Heart Super Saver Yarn, which I use for most of my hats. I hope you guys enjoy it, and also that is my little sister modeling the hat for me. This one looks much cuter when worn.

16  Bob-omb Amigurumi in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by hookinmouthcrochet on: August 10, 2012 02:41:46 PM

I made this Bob-omb Amigurumi as a special request from my fiance. He has not had the chance to see it yet, as I just finished it and got the pictures up and he is still at work. There isnt a pattern for it, but it is pretty straight forward and I'm sure could be easily recreated. I can create a pattern though if there is interest. I used Red Heart Super Saver Yarn to make him. I am hoping to make some more of the Super Mario characters in the near future as well!

17  Mickey Mouse Earflap Hat in Crochet: Completed Projects by hookinmouthcrochet on: August 07, 2012 08:25:43 AM

This is a custom Mickey Mouse Earflap Hat I made for a friend. Unfortunately, I only got the one picture before I sent it out this time Sad. It is made with Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in Black, Hot Red, and Lemon. I also hand painted the buttons, they were white originally, but I liked the idea of having the yellow buttons instead of the white ones. Let me know what you think!

18  Doctor Who Tardis Hat in Crochet: Completed Projects by hookinmouthcrochet on: August 02, 2012 10:39:58 AM

This Doctor Who Tardis Earflap Hat was another custom order from an old friend of mine. It was a lot more work than I normally have to put in for hats just because of the weaving in of the letters, panes on the windows, and several yarn color changes within each row, but I think it came out great. I also switched up the way I make my hats a little bit recently. I used to make the crown with sc then switch to dc to finish up the hat, but I have been using hdc instead and I think they look a lot neater and tighter. Enjoy!

20  Eeyore Ami in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by hookinmouthcrochet on: June 29, 2012 04:29:02 PM

One of my old friends way back from elementary school collects stuffed Eeyores and requested that I make her one. This is my first four legged Ami, so I was super excited. It was a lot of fun to do and definitely challenging in some ways! The tail is also detachable! I hope you guys like it. Below are a few in progress pictures and then another final one.
