Or get good color copies & decopage them onto stuff.  a dresser set (mirror, tray, etc) would be nice.

Target, Walmart, Ikea all sell the hanging lamp cords for just a few $.  I would just use armature wire or someting similar to atach the parasol.  Attache the wire up around the plastic or metal part that you screw the bulb into, not the bulbs it self
Then turn it on & check it every few mins, make sure its not getting hot.  But using the 40w or lower bulb should be good.

Thats is neat ... I don;t sew put I could prob do this with glue & lots of carful clamping.  So do you make that so it pulls out of the purse?

I would be on the look out for light brite pags at the thrift stores!!
I would take some of the pags & go to the hardware store & see what you can find. Ya never know they might have someting that fits the pegs.  
Other wise demeling would prob be the way to go. I have to think that I would glue the pegs in too ...

Those bags are great! I love that lil bird! ADORABLE!   =)

I take the leg of a pair of tights & cut it into rings about 3/4 inch wide. I stich several of them throught the center & used to scrub my non stick pans.

OR the same with colored  nylons & stich a few beads to the center, them glue to a stick or to wire to make a funky flower. The flowers on there own make a cute pin, or embelishment for a hair tie.

If you decide to go with the first idea of seperates here is another site... We used these when I got married, I chose the colors & let the girls choose which pieces they wanted. They all wear them a few times at least  =)   they have alot of different seperates in black as well

But I'm gonna try this when I get moved.

In April I am having a baby shower for my sister in law, as well as hosting our annual "garden party". Our family does this every year, it started out as just all the Moms & Daughters in our family getting together for a lil picnic at a neighborhood park of peanut butter & jelly sandwiches & milk on the first Saturday after Easter. (some years we were eattng our sandwiches in snow suits!!, Good old Buffalo weather!) BUT our family has grown & every year this has gotten more elaborate. Now we have it at a small hall & it's a big deal. But I thought the hose vases would be very cool, quick, & inexpensive centerpieces for this.  =)
