1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Hamstergurumi Cuteness comes in a tiny size...FREE PATTERN on: July 30, 2014 09:41:53 PM
Hi everybody long time no posting an amigurumi !!

You should probably seen a cute hamster while surfing for patterns, there is no link to a website for that picture, let's talk about the pattern or even the finished doll.

After a very long time i decided to give it a try and last night while i was very pissed with my brother i shut my room's door n started to work....and this lil fellow came up!! The name is Tobas like the first hamster i had when i was 18 ( i "had" two before but they were more my brother's)

Im very pleased, the result its a very tiny doll, cute as it cannot be...size is in cm since i dont use inches (live in Mexico City) 3.2 cm x 2.8 cm but u can get an idea about the size with the last picture. The tail its a small piece of white yarn (anyone u like) untwisted (if thats the expression, sorry) and attach with a hot glue gun (so as the felt parts)

Anyways hope u like it, and if its right with the moderator, i will gladly share my pattern, clearly written for u to understand so u can get an accurate result

Thanks for ur comments!!

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / UK Handwarmers Big Brother Bday gift :D on: July 09, 2014 09:57:38 AM
First of all i would like to thanks alabamawhirly (Suzanne Stallard) for the awesome pattern. It's hers, i do not own the pattern Smiley You can find the pattern on her etsy or ravelry page.

A friend of mine wanted a special gift for her boyfriend this last Christmas, unfortunately they broke and i kept the pattern, it was very difficult to me since i dont have too much time knitting, but i started to practice. My borther saw the pattern and fell for it so i thought it could be a very nice n special gift for his bday (coming this July 10th) so i started to work.

Yarn its a baby acrylic yarn (dont know if he's allergic to wool  hahaha)
Needles are 3.0 mm DPN!!!!! but i put a bead in one tip because im always knitting in the subway so i wanted a small needle for not bugging people next to me. Hot glue gun works great.
Ziploc bag carried all the work the whole time, very useful since its raining the hell out in Mexico .
Cross stitch bobbins (dont know if thats the name for the white plastic mini cards) carried the right amount of yarn.

Took me 3 weeks to make them (every day, night and mornings )

Any comments are welcome!!

Gracias Smiley

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Zombie Cellphone Cover...scaring every call and message on: December 17, 2012 07:09:31 PM
I have a friend who loves zombies so as i, it was her bday n i was thinking what to do for her
so after looking many sites and pics  i found a cute pattern of a Zombie Cellphone Cover, and i thought
that it could make a great present.

Since i dont sell the stuff i make (i keep some and other are gifts) i decided to show what i did

Not so cute as in the pattern but i think its a cool work. I used a different button and a sharpie
to make the cross lol cause it only has two holes n not 4 like in the pattern.

Dont know if i can say the name of the site but of course i wanna give credit to the admin there
for have this pattern as free,

let me know what u think

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Easy simple Round Scarf on: December 12, 2012 02:36:43 PM
Hi!

I love this round scarf cause the pattern works great on any yarn so i wanted to do something
militar green (i love that shade) and besides the "scrunchiness" hehe it looks beautiful with
any kind of clothes.

Here is what i did:

Use one skein of ur favorite yarn (mine is a mexican brand with 100gr)
Hook is K (6.5mm)
Chain 150...130 if u dont have much yarn and 180 if u have enough to spare
Join this long chain with a slip stitch to make a big circle, yarn over and make 3 more chains, insert hook on second chain from this point, in other words skip one chain.
this is the tricky part: insert hook, yarn over, through the chain (u have 2 loops on the hook) yarn over, through first loop, u have now 1 chain to ur left and one loop to ur right and make a second chain keeping the very first loop u have on ur right, after these steps u have 2 chains on ur left and one loop on ur right Smiley yarn over and then go through both loops, make one more chain. Skip one chain of the base we just made at the beginning and then insert hook on the next, repeat all the process to complete the round. At the end just slip stitch and begin like we did at the beginning Smiley

i hope u get the idea lol basically its my first crochet tutorial hehehe Cheesy
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Triangle Loom Knitting Mini Shawl-Scarf on: December 12, 2012 02:23:27 PM
Hi!

a few weeks ago while looking for a circular loom i found myself in front of a giant triangle loom
for shawls and immediately i knew that it was made for me lol.

so i brought it with me back home and after just a few simple steps (same as the square loom)
and 15 minutes i came out with this mini-shawl scarf which i dont know you guys but for me
its GORGEOUS Smiley

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Super Extra Cute Hello Kitty Mini Pillow with Instructions on: October 15, 2012 12:04:44 AM
Hi long time since my las post but i've been very busy working yesssssss Wink

ok it was my niece's birthday and i wanted to make something very special for her
to hold at nights...a doll? no she has many stuffed animals like all lil girls so
i decide to make her a tiny Hello Kitty Pillow (almost a cushion)

Its very simple to do basically all i did was single crochet using chain stitch as base
(between 25-30 chains) and working on vertical rows, until i had the desired length
sewing a piece of any fabric (color chosed by model lol) at the back, stuffed and closed

Felt application/applique its more easy to sew if u do it before the fabric rectangle Wink

and there u are happy model hehe Wink hope u like it!!

9  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Simply Gorgeous Stamping Lace Effect Nails on: August 16, 2012 10:33:34 AM
I had a job interview in a very important place so i didnt know how to paint my nails.

I came up with this lace idea after looking my stamping plates.

Its a very easy design using KONAD m57 and m79 plates:

1.-Apply 2 coats of basecoat if u want a sheer look. *Any nude beige or pink color look good too but i decided not to add an aditional color*.

2.-With any white regular polish of ur choice put a small amount over the design and scrap off the excess with a plastic card which it works better than regular plastic and steel blade scrappers.

3.-Pick up the image from the plate with the stamper and quickly press it over ur nail within a rolling motion. Do the same with second design.

Apply topcoat and u're done!!

Simply, gorgeous and perfect for any date!!!
