1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: top down raglan V neck cardi pattern? on: May 28, 2007 09:41:17 PM
I just want to say thank you for posting that pattern, cause I flippin' love it.  Classic, a little nerdy, a little sexy.
2  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Orangina a-long on: May 28, 2007 07:34:06 AM
I finally, finally started this after it being in my queue for lord only knows how long.  I'm about two inches in on the first side and I LOVE it.  I'm using 100% cotton, Pingouin Corrida.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Has anyone dealt with Knitpicks' customer service? on: May 09, 2007 07:04:34 AM
The one time I needed yarn from a dyelot from them they told me they didn't keep extras from their dyelots and I was SOL.  Fortunately the yarn they sent me, while a different dyelot, matched perfectly nevertheless.
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: I know there is no such thing as a stupid question.... on: May 07, 2007 10:09:46 AM
This is actually a great question.

There are quite a few different types of cast ons.  Some are stretchier than others.  Others are easier to pick stitches up from.

I believe knittinghelp.com has some info on the various COs.  It's definitely something to think about when you knit....I never put much thought in it till I had been knitting for a while.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: I'm knitting with two strands, should I use ballwinder? on: May 07, 2007 07:28:29 AM
I would not wind them together because I would be afraid the KSH would become tangled.  I think you're safer knitting from both at the same time.

Bath and Body Works Orange + Ginger lotion is absolutely one of my favorites

Really??  I'm psychic!!

The head scarf is the Dream Swatch Head Wrap, free pattern from Knit and Tonic.  It's a fun little pattern and a great way to use a small skein!

Wow, where to start!  Lapoli sent me an amazing, amazing package.

She sent me the yarn and pattern for some Fetching gloves, which looks great!  A beautiful color.  The yarn is Cashsoft.

She also sent me candy (the peanut butter kisses....OMG), some books that we had actually discussed over PMs, embroidery floss, lots of knitting notions, a bookmark, cute headbands, some little coasters, and a White Sox pizza cutter and bottle opener(note what is on my TV when I took the pics)....I have no idea where she got those b/c she certainly doesn't live in Sox territory!!  And there's even more than what I remembered to list--check out the pics!  I could barely fit it in the camera range! (that candle with the little glass shade and pictures of cats were mine to begin with)

Thank you so much and I hope you like what I've sent you!!

OMG I received!!!

I haven't even unwound the damn thing yet and I'm already MORTIFIED cause mine is NOWHERE near as awesome as the one I received is!!

I got some Cashsoft for the Fetching gloves, which are super cute, and I haven't made them before, and before I could even unwind I find a white sox bottle opener that plays the final call when they won the world series when you open the bottle!!!!  It is so freaking cool!!!!

I don't even know if I'll be able to unwind tonight seeing as I just got home for the day at nearly 10:30 and I still have homework to do, but OMG!  I can't wait!!

Thanks lapoli!! I do hope you like the things I sent you as well!  OK no more exclamation points Smiley

I'm sending on my lunch break today.  I kept hemming and hawing on what I had the time and ability to make/include and finally last night at 11 I settled on the contents.  I really hope my partner likes it!!
