11  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / How To Make A String Doll - An Easy Tutorial For Kids on: June 13, 2013 09:33:09 AM
HOW TO MAKE A STRING DOLL

This is a video with a step by step easy tutorial on how to make these easy and adorable dolls. They can be made out of string or yarn. You can make these dolls any size that you want. They are inexpensive to make and so much fun for kids. The inspiration to this idea was given to me by one of my subscribers. She asked me to come up with a craft that kids can do without the help from their parents and without using a hot glue gun. I learned how to make these dolls when I was a kid. The ideas are endless when it comes to dressing them. Their hair styles can be just as versatile. I encourage you to give it a try.  Thanks so much for watching.

I will be showing you how to wrap a stone with hemp string in this video. No glue needed. Wrapping a stone can open the door to lots of creative ideas. This is the first of a couple of videos that I have planned. In the next video I will show you several ideas that I have come up with and the different things we can wrap... even sea shells. I love to use different strings also. (yarn, crochet string, hemp string and  twine) I also plan to make a video to show you how I made this necklace and how I attach a wrapped gemstone. It really does make a beautiful necklace. We CAN make beautiful jewelry that is original but it does not have  to have a high cost. The best part is... IT IS SO MUCH FUN!! They make awesome gifts too!!  Thank you so much for watching!
