Ahhh!! I LOVE Little Monsters! You look absolutely awesome!! Very cool idea with the fabric paint! I'll have to stow this one away in my keeper file!! Great job!
2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: My local shops stopped stocking my washing powder. on: March 14, 2013 04:05:06 AM
Hey! Thanks for the reply! I didn't even stop to think that you may not use that term there...although I think from what I understand and have read that you guys are pretty far ahead of us on the High Efficiency thing so your products just ARE High Efficiency without having to be labeled as such! (Which is the way it should be here too in my opinion!)

Anyway, once my current batch of powder is done, I'll have to give this one a try! I'm like you, I only do a load in hot water about once a month! At worst, if it sudses too much, I'll just give it to someone with a top loader. That's the nice thing about it only costing a few bucks to make your own!

Thanks again for the insights and the help!! Have a great one!

Very cool idea! I currently make my own powdered detergent that works well but have tried the liquid and it was absolutely horrendous! Like lumpy snot...really gross! I like the idea of an "in between" type product because it would store a little easier and not have the dust that my powder does.

Just curious though...how sudsy is this style? I have an HE front loader and apparently have to watch out for overly sudsy soap.

I have heard that your water (hard, soft, etc.) and the exact type of soap you use makes a difference on how well this all works out so I think sometimes it's just trial and error! Great job sticking to it!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Upcycled curtain into Apron on: January 12, 2013 08:56:41 AM
Soooo pretty! I love those colors together! You did an awesome job and I agree that the heavier fabric will be better to last a long time and be less apt for something to seep through to your clothes anyway! Good work!
5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Outside mat turned Bathmat easy peasy on: January 09, 2013 04:09:29 AM
Probably a silly thought, but maybe next time try hot glue. It has the similar silicone, non-stick feel, should adhere well to the mat/rug and no smell. Would probably be a little cheaper too! And it would go on easy and solidify quicker. I'm making a t-shirt and cotton yarn latch hook rug for my bathroom and may have to try it out myself! Shocked)

Beautiful job!! The girls will love it, I'm sure! And it's always nice to know that something we make makes gets lots of use and love! I really like the color and pattern choices but am especially fond of the ticking...I have some strange addiction for it!! LOL Anyway, great work from a great Auntie!!
