I'm planning on going to Portugal in september, but don't know exactly where to go. Are there any Portuguese people on here? Where do we go - Lisbon, Faro, Porto? Which is more fun? What do we have to see there? Are there flee markets, thrift stores, funny, crafty stores? We're coming over for two weeks, so we have to find a lot to do!! Please help me
My bf needed some chairs for his new apartment, so we went to our local thrift store and picked up some kitchen chairs. The seatings and backpieces were filthy and had holes in them, so we decided to redo them. The original plan was orange skai, but that wasn't easy to find. My gorgeous boyfriend came up with the idea to use this gorgeous print instead. Now I'm jealous and want the same chairs :]
I'm coming over to barcelona in octobre! does anyone know any fun stores, secondhand shops, thrift stores, fleemakets,....? or just a good site about places to go? all other recomendations are welcome too :]
hope you can help me! soo looking forward to going
I found some shorts at a thrift store last week, cut of the elastic waist, cut out the croch, cut to fit and made a cute top :] I'm very happy with it, even if the back is a bit floppy! Anyone got tips to prevent that?
I would really like some opinions on this, 'cause I'm going to make another one to wear to a 50'th wedding anniversary! If I'd wear it with a cute skirt and some nice shoes, would that be nice enough?
here are some crappy pictures, haven't got anyone to take them for me!
Ok! So I have to lower the waist of a circle skirt! It had a seperate piece on it before, but I couldn't find any material that came close... So now I folded the top over like 3 cm, but I just can't sew it like this :-/ My english is too bas to actally explain my problem, but whoever has tried this before, knows what i mean So any suggestions? It came with a great belt and that's going to draw attention to the area so it still has to look kind of ok :-/
My friend, pieter, reconstructed a great guitar and I couldn't resist showing you guys (with his full permission)!!
He bought a guitar, sanded the paint off, changed the shape, took off all the parts, put a pi in it (for pieter), put three coats of paint on, some stencils, a matt vernis and screwed the whole thing back together. I thought it was quite a cool project and he did a great job!!
Well, I'm moving into a new room in september and just can't wait, but it hit me that all the walls are just plain white and the landlord won't let me paint them I have some awesome vintage wallpaper though and so I was wondering, what are the chances of putting wallpaper up, taking it back down when I move, without actually damaging the wall underneath? :-/
I have paper that already has glue on them and that you just have to make wet, but I have some without too, don't know what's going to be best... And how hard is it actually to get wallpaper up? :]
I was also concidering to just attach it to a big frame, but that just won't have the same effect
I made this bag like a week ago, it's very simple, hadn't come across this site yet or I could have made something better, but oh well, future plans...
I made it out of some vintage material with a white lining and a little part with zipper for smaller stuff. And I did a bad job on sewing the zipper in, but it was my first zipper too... It can only get better from now on! I hope
