1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Peach Ruffles Zipper Pouch on: July 31, 2012 12:37:31 PM

I've been wanting to make a gathered bag like this for awhile.  The gathers took a bit of time to build baste then machine stitch onto the bag.  If I had a gathering foot for my machine it may be a little easier.  I'm hoping to make a few more In other colors!

These orange stars were originally hair ties that the elastic broke on.  They were too cute to throw away so they went in a drawer until inspiration came.  This challenge was perfect.

Completed envelope clutch.  I used a disassembled paper envelope as a template.  I added hand stitched details in tones of orange and sky blue

Opening to item hand stitched (this is were the envelope detail is truly visible.)  Clasp closure keeps bag closed.
3  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 72 ENTRIES / Challenge 72 entry Headband or Necklace you decide. on: March 08, 2012 11:22:19 AM
This is my first Crafster challenge entry and I'm a newbie.  My opposites attract entry is based on the idea of using 1 item in 2 different ways.  As a headband or as a necklace.  I had fun making this it's all handstitched so I was able to enjoy all my favorite T.V shows while crafting.
