Not sure if I'm adding this update properly To save on money I'm using a 3 ring binder that I had laying around and copy paper pages. I am also putting my cut out applique pieces in zipper baggies for ease of use in the future. So far I've done a Japanese inspired deer.
I've been wanting to make a gathered bag like this for awhile. The gathers took a bit of time to build baste then machine stitch onto the bag. If I had a gathering foot for my machine it may be a little easier. I'm hoping to make a few more In other colors!
I'll get photo of it on in natural light. It is gibbous slightly because one arm has serged ruffles the other is raw edged. Bottom back ruffle is longer on one side than the other. I also used contrasting white threads and let the tails show

Clasp closure keeps bag closed.
This is my first Crafster challenge entry and I'm a newbie. My opposites attract entry is based on the idea of using 1 item in 2 different ways. As a headband or as a necklace. I had fun making this it's all handstitched so I was able to enjoy all my favorite T.V shows while crafting.
