Love that clock and the skirt!!

...and I just wanted to share this (related to the swap, but a bit random) - as I was cleaning up the house for a little get together yesterday, I was trying to find a good place to keep the goggles without totally putting them away and out of sight. Shortly after we moved into our house last year, we picked this little portly fellow up - he just kind of sits around and keeps an eye on the place. For lack of a better place to put the goggles, I thought Mr. Squirrel would look rather dashing in them. Upon seeing him with the goggles, I added the handkerchief that was sent along with them as a little scarf...and thus, Captain Furdinand McNutty, Esq was born. I am quite taken with this new persona and have decided I may try to write a short children's story about his airship adventures.

Aw, MizzKodak - sending happy thoughts your way! Keep your chin up!

I received from Wulf today!!

I was racing home, trying to beat the storm that was threatening to strike at any moment...in my rush to get in the door before the wind could blow me away, I didn't see that my husband placed the package on the chair. I walked by it several times before he cleared his throat and pointed to it! Smiley

Of course I was thrilled, so I tore into it as quick as I could...but I did make sure to get some pictures!

The parcel before meeting the utility knife Smiley

The one thing I hate about international parcels is it sort of takes the guess work out of what's waiting inside...

...fortunately, there is still an air of mystery as to what precisely it is!

The thoughtful note Wulf included

Ooh, what a nifty contraption!

Such cool details! The longer black portion actually flips up!

Just testing them out...hehe!

Thank you so much, Wulf!! You made this a great intro to Steampunk for me!! I certainly hope to participate in more Steamy swaps down the road!

If there's anything better than coming home from work after a hectic day and finding a swap package in your mailbox, I don't know what it is!

I received my inchies from AmandaBL! w00t!

Here are all of them, neatly displayed...

Along with these inchies, I found this note...

"While I had fun creating these, I have to admit I have finally found a scale that is too small for me to really enjoy working in. I am passing on the remaining background inchies I made. These are watercolor paper that I covered with a mosaic of wet bleeding tissue paper, allowed to dry, then removed the tissue, cut & inked the edges. Hopefully you have a project in the future you can use them on or feel free to pass them along as an extra in another future swap. Thank you for swapping with me & I hope you enjoy these little guys! AmandaBL"

...and here's a better look at the extra backgrounds...they are so pretty just as they are!!

Thanks AmandaBL!!  Grin

I received from karizmatic today!! I am SO excited! This was a great way to end an otherwise crappy week (here's hoping I didn't jinx tomorrow!) Lots of pics below...

Here's the package...my husband was home this morning waiting on the well drilling guy to come over and repair our well cap that the plow guy broke and ripped the wiring out of (this is after getting both of our cars stuck in the drive way...)...anyway, mu hubby retrieved this when it arrived and told me "You got a package in the mail...it's all decorated and has nice handwriting on it!"

The goodies inside!

Here's the collection of yummy-smelling coffee!

Hot cocoa mix!

Some awesome lip balm

An awesome soup mug cozy!

...and a coffee mug cozy!

...But wait! There's more!!

Cute wine bottle labels.

..and these...these are just...wow. I am so excited about these!!!

She made these based off of this pattern - http://www.purlbee.com/the-purl-bee/2010/11/28/a-purl-soho-pattern-loeffler-randall-rain-boot-and-rain-boot.html
