1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Return of Onion Friend! on: September 20, 2007 07:13:42 PM
My anniversary with the wonderful boyfriend is coming up.  A while ago I made him a stuffed onion and he liked it a lot.  So, I decided to put said onion on a couple-sized (full) microfiber blanket for us to play video games under.  I also got some brown mugs and fancy hot chocolate to include in the package.  Still thinking of things to add... any ideas, anyone?

Here he is:

2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Milk and cookies throw blanket on: September 20, 2007 07:09:56 PM
My BFF and his darling have gotten engaged, so I needed a present.  He lives far far away, so I decided to send them a movie-watching package of Pride and Prejudice (the A&E version), popcorn, shortbread, and a comfy couple-sized blanket.  I got a twin-sized fleece blanket and sewed on some cookies and a glass of milk, as the BFF is famous for his love affair with cookies.  Sorry the picture is so hard to see, the blanket is very dark brown.

3  COOKING / Dessert / Cakes I have known on: September 06, 2007 06:42:39 PM
I've had a thing for making ridiculous cakes for a while, and here are a few of my favorites:

the pig cake, made without a reason:

the guitar cake, made for a friend's birthday:

the steak cake, made when Napoleon Dynamite was still funny (mashed potatoes and asparagus are real):

and the cat cake, made to look like Uo Poko, a game my boyf and I play:

Made this guy a while back, but figured I'd put him up on here.

I sewed the ties halfway down folded, then opened the seams and made it pleated.  When I spin, they fly out.  Kinda fun.

I'm in the process of making a bunch of little stuffed friends for my boyf.  This one is Coffee, Closing One Eye Friend.  Back story:  Dave (the boyf) drinks coffee with a lot less sugar than I like.  One day I sipped his coffee and it was so bitter I involuntarily closed one eye.  I tried to replicate the face on the new Coffee Friend.  Here he is:

7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / more immaturity: Zombie Butt on: August 31, 2007 05:26:31 AM
Ok, I promise this will be the last in the butt series...  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=193223.0

My boyfriend calls me Zombie Butt.  I forget why.  Anyway, I made one.

8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Inappropriate and juvenile (butt dragon) on: August 30, 2007 05:12:57 AM
Somehow last week my friends and I started using the phrase "butt dragon".  It can be used as a derogatory name, or to describe a physical ailment.  Examples include:  "Dude, stop being such a butt dragon!"  and "Aww, that Chinese food did not agree with me, bro.  It gave me major butt dragons."

Of course, I had to make one.  It will be hiding in my boyf's room with no explanation (similar to previously posted Onion Friend) and I will act as though I had nothing to do with it.

Presenting:  the Butt Dragon:

My boyfriend always thinks everything he eats could use more onions.  The other day I got the idea to make him an onion friend.

He (the onion friend) is quite square but I think he still looks like an onion.  He's felt and embroidery floss, and also my first stuffed felt anything.

The plan is to hide this in the boyf's room and act like I don't know what it is or how it got there.  I think things like that are funny.

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / People Making Out skirt on: August 30, 2007 05:00:47 AM
I came across this ridiculous fabric and couldn't leave the store without it.  My craftsmanship was shameful due to over-enthusiasm and I proceeded without a pattern, flat surface, measuring device, or the right color thread.  Hopefully any flaws will be overlooked in favor of lots of peeps making out hardcore?

This is the skirt:
