thanks! i actually chose the colours based on what i had. i was hoping to do more white-ish ones or black ones but had no black or white felt. alas, the neon with the grey is fun! xo

I made 6 of these finger puppets for my friend's kids!! The tutorial is from the Purl Bee and can be found here: http://www.purlbee.com/bunny-finger-puppets/

They were fun to make! Super Easy, but a bit time consuming!!!

Hi! I just got off an airplane and came home to a glistening swap box and WOW!! Camelama you are my hero! I'm happy I could make you happy and sorry that there's no photos in this post: I'm not sure where my camera is but I'll quickly describe everything (I love all of it!!) and Camelama has photos, I think, if she beats me.

1. food! a yummy Pearson's salted nut roll, snacks from the good ol' days: and farmer's popcorn cob: i'm a sucker for kitschy popcorn.

2. Sweet colonial/monarchy postcards and a card of a painting of horses (these are great and so cute, btw!!)

3. two tote bags that have oregon trail print outs on them that say, 'ohsweetie has died' or 'ohsweetie has measles' LOVE THEM!

4. an indian princess muffler, i'd definitely say my favourite.

5. a cute wagon charm bracelette.

and 6. a cowboy tote bag with a wagon lining.

I WAS SPOILED!! hands down. Thank you so much camelama! I love the whole kit and caboodle and i loved this swap (despite me taking forever, oi!!)

xoxox diandra.

9  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: scarves into a blanket! on: May 03, 2009 05:41:31 PM
OHHHHHH super duper cute, even if you are supporting super evil WalMart Sad I love the colors and how nice it looks with your sheets. I actually am planning on doing a similar project, but for a picnic blanket. I have never dealt with anything so large before, is it hard to work your sewing machine when you have so much fabric to the right of the needle?HuhHuh

i hate walmart too, but sometimes it's where you just end up. particularly since fabricland here closed and it's hard to get cute plus size stuff in this town. but alas. finding those scarves was definitely serendipitous.

i sewed them together so there'd never be fabric on my right, it was always on the left. i didn't pin as i sewed either, which shows, but i used a med-zig zag and it was a bit arduous because the fabric has a lot of weight to it. hope that helps!
