I made 6 of these finger puppets for my friend's kids!! The tutorial is from the Purl Bee and can be found here: http://www.purlbee.com/bunny-finger-puppets/

They were fun to make! Super Easy, but a bit time consuming!!!

4  Patchwork Basket in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by ohsweetie on: June 05, 2008 03:31:50 PM
I love this fabric basket tutorial from the pink penguin (http://ayumills.blogspot.com/2008/05/tutorial-fabric-basket.html). I'm so impressed!

I made this basket as a gift based on the tutorial.

i also dyed the yarn in the basket and grew the basil. but the basket is the fun part. it's small, but uses very little fabric!

xo

5  vote now! vote meow! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by ohsweetie on: April 16, 2008 12:18:33 AM

i work at a record store (www.meowrecords.ca) and we're currently in the running to be named the best independent record store in CANADA! (you can check out the details at radio3.cbc.ca) so i made a shirt to raise awareness and also to raise money for the spca.

i cut out letters free hand from fabrics and felt lying around in my stash and then got the super hott miss #13 from the girls of meow records calendar to pose!

i've been on ravelry and knitting a lot but as it gets warmer my sewing machine is coming out and while this didn't take all that much work, i'm so proud that i didn't knit it!

this is emily ali of RADducttapeandhemp. she rocked it for me.

and these are the two different sides. the colour variations are SO gorgeous.

tonight we went canning at a friend's abode (yay pickles) and i made this pouch from pants/shirt that my friend bestowed upon me as i was running out the door screaming, "i have to go make pouches". sorry for the k-rappy pictures Smiley xoxo

p.s. it's grandpa pants on the outside and man's plaid shirt on the inside. the zipper was thrifted and i handpainted the image.

9  economic history of canada in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by ohsweetie on: August 07, 2007 11:38:00 AM
so, this *could* go in paper crafts, but i'm treating it as more art, less craft..ANd it's on canvas. my new favourite medium is modge podge on canvas. i'm still having problems with bubbling (too much glue?) but like the rusticness of it! the images are from encyclopedias and art-punk-skate magazines. they evoke the economic history of canada! yaya!
