3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / hobo bag tutorial? on: May 24, 2006 04:38:37 PM
i was wondering if there was any other hobo bag tutorial besides the one on the list. i made one up just by measuring the lengths of this one here, and i was just seeing if anyone had any other ideas how to make it..

so i saw a pair of checkered vans on sale for 10$ at journeys, couldn't resist. and although the colours did not match my taste, i whipped out my acrylics and made the best of the situation at hand...

the backs are the three different colors i used

really good close up

6  CLOTHING / Shoes: Discussion and Questions / cleaning my keds on: August 03, 2005 06:27:13 PM
ok, so i've had a pair of navy blue classic keds for about 2 months. i don't know if it's sweat (don't wear socks w/ them) or just all the water from monsoon, but the blue near my toes has faded into a kind of lavendery-purple. i have tried to wash them in the machine, but i'm afraid to add detergent because it might dye them even more weird colors. anyone have suggestions on how to wash them (or what with), or how to get rid of the fading/changing colors?
7  Arizona / Arizona: Central / buying t-shirts in bulk? on: May 21, 2005 02:53:17 PM
Hey, first post on craftster, woot! Grin
Ok, so I decided to start makin t-shirts this summer. See, I draw a lot on Paint, and my friends are very eager for me to get these on some t-shirts.(Heck yes to iron-ons!) Anyway, I wanted to know if anyone livin in the valley knows of a good place to get plain, standard, COTTON t-shirts in bulk(20 maybe?) for a reasonable price. Yes, I tried buying Hanes 3-packs for men, they were too big and needed refitting. YES, I tried buying Hanes 3-packs for boys, the collars were too high. And, YES, I CAN refit every single shirt, but I'd rather focus on ironing, PLUS it's hard to refit a shirt specific to someone I can't easily measure. If you know anything, or have any thrift-store tips, let me know! Roll Eyes
