11  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Unbiased from Fall Knitty 04 on: November 03, 2004 04:35:43 PM

I just finished this, the picture does not do the colors justice they are truly beautiful
If you are interested in purchasing the Recycled Silk may I suggest http://dollmakersink.com/.  You get 200 grams for $14.95 ( some other places are selling 100 grams for that price), I purchased 2 skeins and had some left for another project.  Plus she's a fast shipper and right now shipping is free.

I bought my first noro yesterday and decided that Belle Star would look beautiful in these colors.

How about a little line green basket weave?

It means Slip Slip Knit.  Slip one knitwise (as if you are going to knit) from left needle to right, Slip another one the same way then you place the two slipped stitches back on the left needle (in their new direction) and knit those two together. Does that make sense??

I don't know what color - I think lime green would look cool but I will proably just go with pink or purple.

I am totally interested but I won't be able to start it till I finish the sweater I am working on.  Are you going to use the suggested Debbie Bliss yarn or try to substitute something else?

20  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Best Friends Doll - The Blue Blog Knitalong on: July 26, 2004 07:55:27 AM
A Knitalong is when people use the same pattern and knit it together, this one was hosted by alison at the blue blog which is a knitting blog. If you're interested check it out at: http://alison.knitsmiths.us/

No there's not a face in the doll I thought it looked better that way.
