1  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / "Turn"ing on: January 26, 2004 05:02:55 PM
I'm knitting this hat (for those of you who have Stitch 'n Bitch, it is the "Adults-only devil hat on pg. 166) that is knit on 3 needles in the round. While working on it, I came along to a part in the pattern that says to "turn". But it doesn't say what to turn... it just says "turn". Accually, it says to do this quite a few times so I'm guessing it's important. Is this something that has to do with the fact that it is knit in the round?? I've asked around and so far everyone is puzzeld, including myself. If anyone of more knitting experience knows what they mean, I'd be grateful.

*breezy*

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Blocking my KNitting on: January 22, 2004 03:43:50 PM
What percentage of natural fiber does the yarn your working with have to be to be block-able?? I didn't know if it had to be 100% or if it just had to have some natural fiber in it. My knitting project kinda looks like it needs it but it only is like 35% wool.
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Mysterious swirling garter on: January 20, 2004 03:09:51 PM

OK, so i'm making this dog sweater, and the underside of the sweater required me to knit a long skinny strip in gerter stitch like, 3'' by 13''. Everyting was just fine but so far it's about 9 or 10'' but the whole strip is for some reason going in this crazy spiral twirl!!! I've knit lots of things in garter before, but never have they spun!!! Is this happening because it's just so skinny, or am i doing something wrong??? HELP!!!! Shocked
