1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Craftivity Baby Blanket on: March 09, 2007 12:09:21 PM
I'm usually more of a knitter, but I couldn't pass this blanket up.  I decided to make it less of an heirloom blanket and more of a blanket that will wipe up spit up and get thrown down on the floor for play time so I used Peaches and Creme yarn (far superior to the Sugar and Cream IMO.) And I used a 6.0mm hook.

The pattern is from the wonderful book Craftivity.  Love it!

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Striped kiddo sweater with skull applique on: February 01, 2007 10:31:44 AM
I finished this a couple weeks ago for my 3 year old. Here he is making a silly face.

detail

The pattern is Knitting Pure and Simple's Baby Sweater Pattern #214.  It is sized big - I made the 24 months size.

The yarn is GGH Samoa - 50% cotton, 50% acrylic.  And I hand made the applique out of felt and embroidery floss.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Projects from "One Skein" on: April 02, 2006 10:44:25 AM
I've been loving this new book, One Skein.  There's hardly anything in that that I DONT like.  Like this amazing stash buster rug.

So far I've made this itty bitty baby bolero.

I think next I'm going to start on that rug, I really, really love it.
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Cabled hand bag on: April 23, 2005 10:40:30 AM
Here's my take on an expensive clutch.

Here's my first one, it's pretty teeny, my 3 year old uses it.

And here's my most recent one, I modified it from the first to have a handle (it's too hard to cary a clutch around when you're holding the hands of two little kiddies.)

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Herringbone scarf on: February 07, 2005 05:51:15 PM
Here's my herringbone scarves.  I'm now IN LOVE with manos del uruguay.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Super Mittens on: January 18, 2005 08:49:29 PM
From Weekend Knitting

I'm really happy with the way they turned out.  The pattern was really easy to follow.
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / my new favorite scarf on: January 01, 2005 04:50:47 PM

I made this scarf out of Linie 43 PUNTA Color #39.  I love it!!

Here's a close up of the yarn
