1  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / kitty nesting box on: May 14, 2006 06:41:54 PM
i got the sweetest little pair of society finches today as a lovely mother's day present. they looked rather sad in their cage, (more nervous than sad, i suppose,) so i decided to build them a nesting box so they could hide away from my toddler's nosey little self. i haven't made anything from wood in about 13 yrs though, so it's a bit crude, but it serves it's purpose!

it has a lid that lifts right off, but i'm leaving it open for the time being, so they get used to it being in the cage. it's actually only supposed to have the one hole where his right eye should be, but i mismeasured, so there's the hole in the bottom corner under there, too. i used a torch lighter to burn the other eye and the nose on. i think i'm actually quite proud of it, even if it does look like something a kid made. Cheesy

ok, i guess since i'm not getting any replies, nobody wants to go to the trouble of looking at the ebay auctions. here's the pictures.

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / south park tube top on: April 20, 2006 08:49:59 PM
i bought this shirt when south park was still a new show, about 9 yrs ago. i think i only wore it a few times, b/c it was baggy and hot. i think it'll get worn alot more now!

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / my newest hat on: November 12, 2005 09:41:06 PM
ok, here's my take on the UBW hat. i used hot pink and black yarn for the hat, and then kinda winged it w/ the skull and bones, and stitched them onto the hat.

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / new stretched lobe stuff on: November 10, 2005 04:43:09 PM
ok, i've been lazy lately, and so i haven't been working on "earrings" much. maybe not lazy, i've just been working on a bunch of crochet projects, instead. so here's two things i came up with.

feedback welcome! Cheesy
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / two new pairs of ear decor on: October 10, 2005 06:02:34 PM
i obviously have no idea what to call these things! anyway, here they are.

these little fishies made me think of the rainbow fish.

as for these... i have an unnatural button obsession! Cheesy
7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / new stretched ear decor on: October 06, 2005 10:44:40 PM
i made a new pair, but this time i used memory wire. i can't find the metal pieces i used on the last two pairs. Sad i think i actually like these better, though. they are easier to pop in place, but i think they'll stay on better, too. the pics don't do the fucshia beads justice, b/c they are truly the brightest things i've ever seen! the best part about this pair... the little glue gun charms!

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / danglies for stretched ears on: October 03, 2005 07:29:22 PM
i recently stretched my lobes up to a 4g, but got a little sad over the fact that i couldn't wear any of my dangly earrings. so this is what i came up w/ to fix that problem. they fit perfectly through my 4g tunnels, but i don't think they would fit well in anything smaller.

thanks for looking! Cheesy
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / my first knitting project on: September 26, 2005 02:53:10 PM
i've always been a crocheter by nature, but i finally decided it was time to learn to knit. so i got a skein of this lovely funky fringe yarn from target, and a pair of knitting needles, (us 10 1/2,) and i set to work. it's nothing too fancy, but i like it!

the yarn:

10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / crochet cowgirl hat, (image heavy) on: September 15, 2005 08:58:54 PM
my in-laws did something cool and got tickets to take me to see alan jackson tomorrow. seeing as how i have bleach blonde hair w/ green and pink all in it, i decided i needed to make myself look a little more country for the occassion. i found this awesome pattern while searching around.

http://bythehook.blogdrive.com/archive/131.html

it's a super cute cowgirl hat, but still a little punk to appease to my inner child. since the pattern says to crochet w/ two strands of yarn together, i used neon orange and bright yellow.i had to spray it w/ starch to make sure it keeps it's shape, but i think it rocks.

thanks for looking!
