11  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Simple Sewing with a French Twist by Celine Dupuy on: January 28, 2007 11:03:47 AM
Has anyone done any of the projects from this book yet? I think the sweet chemise will be my first project. The book is very cute, also.
12  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / My Crystal Creations (pic heavy) on: December 08, 2006 03:00:08 PM
So, I've been obsessed with making little things out of crystals lately
Here is a sampling:
This is a purse from a Japanese book called "Bead Motifs" (I think that's the name- the title is in Japanese).

Here is a crown from "Bead Fantasies II":

This is purse form BeadAngel's website http://www.beadjewelrymaking.com :

These are items I made in classes at my local bead stores:
Star

Turtle

Heart (the hardest project to date)

I'm not really sure what to do with them right now, so they are being used as ornaments on a little Christmas tree on my desk at work. Thanks for looking!
13  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Storage & Display of ATC discussion on: November 24, 2006 04:03:46 PM
Right now, all of my ATCs are in a little stack, and I know there are better ways of storing my ATCs. I was just wondering how everybody else stored or displayed their ATC collection.
14  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Two tropical baby blankets on: July 01, 2006 06:13:58 PM
I made two blankets as a baby shower gift for my cousin who is expecting twin girls. They are printed cotton on one side, and soft fleece on the other.

I used blue fleece on this one because her husband doesn't like pink  Tongue

Fabric close up (it's brighter in real life)

Pin- up print (I love this fabric!) and pink fleece- I had to get some pink in there!

These blankets are so easy & fun! Make great gifts, too! I even got an order at the shower!
15  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / The Craftster Guide to Nifty, Thrifty, and Kitschy Crafts / Tote Bag Apron on: July 01, 2006 06:01:51 PM
I made this apron for Bobolink in the FOC 3 swap. I added grommets so she could use it for her knitting.

Opened

Closed, and looking bag-like

It was fun to make- thanks for making cool books, Leah! Cheesy

I love me some pink flamingos! What's more kitschy than pink flamingos? Anywho, here is my purse:

Blue AstroTurf, pink flamingos and a white picket fence.

The inside, flamingo backround and a fun looking couple with Popsicle stick frames

The other side with some crazy pipecleaners and pom pom accents.

Thanks for looking!

17  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Tropical diaper cake on: May 19, 2006 07:57:03 PM
Inspired by teapotdnky and regansbox's diaper cakes, my cousin and I decided to make one too! She is having twin girls (yowza!) and can use all the diapers she can get. Her shower isn't until next month, but we got excited and wanted to make a cake now!

Our method was a little different. She didn't have any springform pans in the right sizes, so we cut a pieces of yarn to the sizes that we wanted, and tie a knot to make a circle. I held yarn circle up while she stuffed diapers in it. It worked pretty well. The black yarn is still on the cake- we don't want to cut it off until the day of the shower. This pic was taken with my phone. Hope you like it!!

18  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Flower Marble Magnets on: June 01, 2005 04:21:53 PM
My friend and I are throwing a baby shower for her sister next month, and the favors are a variation of the classic marble magnet. I took a silk gerbera daisy, took it off of the stem, so all I had were the petals. I printed out what  I wanted it to say on yellow paper, glued it to the middle of the flower, glued a marble on top of that ( the bigger sized ones) and then a magnet onto the back. And this is what I got:

here's a close up:

I don't know if you can read it or not, but it says "Raycine's Baby Shower 7-16-05"

Here it is on the fridge:
