Great job! I love how they all have a sense of humor- not your typical baby onesies.

So, I had some grand idea to make little sushi ornaments for all of my coworkers (I have 20) this past Christmas. This did not happen. I ended up making 1 cupcake and 1 sushi. Anywho, over on Ravelry, I found this pattern http://tinyurl.com/yf8nngb by the eternally crafty Foufigirl. I ended up making a cupcake for my friend for Christmas

And this sushi piece for a coworker

And just for funsies.

Funny side story: I made the cupcake ornament and gifted it to my friend in an Urban Outfitters bag (a little cloth one they wrapped an ornament in), and she ended up making me a cupcake ornament from the same pattern! She thought I had purchased it from UO. Haha! Sigh.

So, I didn't realize I had Halloween plans until a week ago. I wanted something easy- so I thought toga. I didn't know what to do with my hair, so I thought I might get a wig. A long blonde wig, so I could be Aphrodite. Then I kept thinking and thinking and AFROdite came to me. And that meant I didn't have to buy a wig, just borrow the afro from my couisn. Aha! So I went to Joanns and bought some pink faux satin (which is just the worst to work with) and gold ribbon and gold paint and some ivy stems at the Dollar Tree. And I used a clutch I made from this tutorial but never really did anything with.

Here are some leaves in the painting process

I loosely used the infinity dress tutorial to make the toga. I glued some leaves onto bobby pins to stick in the afro (because no crown of leaves was gonna stick in that 'do) and I glued more leaves onto the clutch for a Grecian clutch. I used a silver sequined belt that I tied around my waist and some sandles that I got from an Express sale to finish the look. The gold glitter on my eyelids make my eyes glow like the ghost from Ghostbusters II.

I didn't realize how short it was until I was getting ready for the party I was attending. I put on some black leggings not long after this photo.

I hope everybody had a great Halloween! Thanks for looking!!

That would be super cute! And quite the conversation starter

So, my 19-year-old co-worker had a birthday dinner on Sunday, and I have no clue what to get a 19-year-old (I'm closer to 30). The one thing I do know is that she wears a lot of headbands. I also remembered that there was a headband project in Leah's book. So, that's what I made. 3 of em. The top one is made from zipper trim (it actually doesn't hurt when you put it on- I test drove all 3 to make sure they fit), the middle a plasticy back trim and the bottom a glittery brown. Super easy to make and took about an hour and a half to do all 3 (I hand sewed). My co-worker liked them (she put one on at dinner that matched her outfit perfectly) and so did some other lady co-workers. And I realized that I should wear more headbands!
