Thanks guys. I have to say I am proud of it and my boys love showing this off to their friends.  Ijust need to get my plan to gether for my oldest, he changed his mind again insteado f a race car or Superman room he wants a GI joe room. I swear he is worst than a girl. I am just going to have to do it and he will just have to be happy! LOL  I was throwing out ideas for things to do last night and was talking about glueing Army men on things and he piped ip and said "OR  your could make a table with army men on top and then put glass on it and make it an end table!  I was shocked he remebered the first craft challenge winner!  Tee Hee,as much as he hates my arts and craps as he calls it, he does like some of the ideas.
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Nursery makeover to Buzz Lightyear Room on: September 01, 2005 07:26:20 PM
Now that my two boys are old enough to be out of a crib and such I needed to make over the nursery into a playroom and since my youngest decided to move back into this room as a bedroom he wanted a buzz Lightyear room, so I set to work and bought all my paint over the next few weeks on the oops paint bin aisles, I scoured all teh home Depots in a 20 mile radius to et allt eh colors I needed and as luck woudl have it I found flourescent Orange and Lime in an oops can!  Yippee, grand total to buy all supplies and paint was $28  can't beat that!  My sis and I did this in a weekend, she did the majority of the ceiling painting while I worked on the mural.

Here is the Mural, I had originally tried to use an overhead projector but I barely got Buzz's head on andnot painted ind you when my sis kicked it an dwe never could get it aligned right so I freehanded the rest.

Here is the lime stripe on the wall , that was not easy to get even but I think it is the same size all the way around the room, and the windo sill and trim around the doors is orange while the doors themselves have been painted red, like the planet Buzz is standing on.

I stamped the ceiling then I took all the stuffed 3-d stars I had made for the nursery and hung all but the pink ones back up.  The room had been the cow jumped over the moon themed since I did not know with either boy what I was having.  So I have yellow and blue stars hanging at all levels from the ceiling.

Picture of my boys in front of it so you can have a reference as to how big the mural is.

I also just finished their camping bathroom I will have to post pics of it.  I am onto working on my oldest bedroom if he will decide we are either doing a SUperman room or a formula 1 race car room soon. I wish he woudl decide so I can go look for cheap paint.
5  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: i want this to be the scariest halloween eva! on: August 27, 2005 09:16:15 AM
OK any of the Hlloween movies or Friday the 13th are great slasher Halloween movies, they are very Kitschy  but perfect for make youjump factors.
As for party make a bunch of scary food.  Try Britta.com she has pics of her halloween parties and recipes for all her super spooky food.

make sure your house is all done up, we used to always do a spook house for all our neighborhood too, what a blast to do and scare the kids, you can easily do it int he garage now instead of plastice sheets, cant use because of fire codes, we had a bunch donate old sheets and we dyed them black and used them every year.

Definately go to Britta.com though you will get great ideas and go tomaybe go to frightcatalog.com and get a free catalog I got a lto of ideas form them even though they are just costumes and such.
6  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / [ACCEPTED -- ANNUAL COSTUME] Halloween Challenge? on: August 27, 2005 09:07:17 AM
I think we just need a Halloween in general craft right now. Post your best homade halloween decorations for like under $15  or something, which if wanted could be a costume or wreaths or pumpkins etc.  I could use the ideas and I have something brewing in my little head anyway I was going to make although it might be more than $15 but I love a challenge.
