1  First Embroidery/First Pillow in Needlework: Completed Projects by dreamisle on: April 09, 2007 08:23:44 PM
Hey everyone. I just made this pillow the last couple days. It's my first embroidery project and my first pillow. I used scraps from old no-sew fleece blankets I've made because I'm trying to get things cleaned up for moving out of the dorms for the summer. Anywho, sorry for the crap photos but here it is:

You can't see it here, but the top has the same green brown green pattern and the back has the creamy off-white like the middle as well as some plain white scraps. The design is meant to be like the design on my website - thegriddle.net. Let me know what you think!

2  Re: Color Specific ATCs in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by dreamisle on: January 20, 2007 11:52:54 AM
Beautiful cards ladies!
I'm a guy...  Embarrassed

Here's a purple and gold card I just made. It uses candy wrappers, watercolor, stickers, handmade paper, and a bit of used fabric softener sheet.

I decided these 3 cards I made are going to a pen pal of mine who sent me a care package of groceries. Smiley

3  Color Specific ATCs in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by dreamisle on: January 17, 2007 10:14:22 PM
Pink and Blue:

I might be sending/trading these to another Craftster or someone on xPx soon... hmm...

Anyway, post your color specific ATCs here! How many different colors are there? Time for me to bust out my old box of crayons...

4  Re: Personal/Private Swap Gallery - November 2006 in The Swap Gallery by dreamisle on: November 17, 2006 09:31:53 AM
I traded some of my handmade paper with Stephen Weaver, and today I received this lovely cushion cover in the mail:

It's awesome! The picture doesn't do it justice - the leaves are really, really cool when you see them close up. Thanks Stephen!

5  Meat Stamp ATC in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by dreamisle on: November 16, 2006 07:34:06 PM
I made a meat stamp from the meat image on Kingdom of Loathing a couple weeks ago, and I just made an ATC with it:

PLEASE MOVE THIS POST TO THE ATC BOARD! (when it's created)

6  Pricing Survey in Get Product and Website Opinions by dreamisle on: November 15, 2006 06:38:15 AM
I'm thinking about starting a business selling my handmade recycled paper. I'd like this data so that I can use it for a project in my college class and also so I know how I should price things if I sold my paper. If you could answer the 3 questions below honestly, I'd appreciate it:

1) Would you be interested in buying my handmade paper?
2) How much would you pay at most for a 4"x6" sheet?
3) How much would you pay at most for a 6"x6" sheet?

Please answer all 3 questions even if your answer to #1 is no. This information will be very useful to me.

9  Handmade Paper in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by dreamisle on: August 17, 2006 02:49:43 PM
Hey there. I've been experimenting with making handmade paper using recycled junk mail and such. I don't have a blender so I mash the pulp by hand. I don't have a screen for the mould and deckle so I use meshy foam cupboard liner/placemat stuff to make it. The first batch sucked, but this is from the second batch. It's thin, sturdy, and has a unique texture from the foam mesh. I think it's kinda like cheap cardboard but my dad says it looks and feels like asbestos. Weird.

Let me know what you think. I plan to make some smaller pieces for ATCs and send some to penpals for scrapbooking.

10  Tiny ATC Binder in CHALLENGE 14 ENTRIES by dreamisle on: August 03, 2006 10:39:34 AM
I keep all of my ATCs in plastic trading card pages in a binder. For my tiny project, I decided to try something kinda ironic or weird or funny.

It's a set of 9 tiny ATCs in a tiny trading card page. Oddly enough, the plastic trading card page is actually a regular ATC size sleeve Tongue Hope you all enjoy it!
