22  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Reversible Batgirl Skirt/Cape on: March 11, 2012 05:23:04 PM
Good point about the tiny waist, I was actually somehow thinking that the cape went the other way, as in the part of the skirt that were the waistband and hem were the long parts of the cape. I see in the video that's not how it was done, but that might work better.

I love it! It seems like something a wizard or someone would have.

Wow, these are gorgeous. I especially like the owl cameo and the cabochans.
26  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: My first pair of socks... and they're bigger on the inside. on: March 11, 2012 05:15:51 PM
These are awesome! I bought a pair of TARDIS socks online once but they turned out to just be blue socks with some kind of iron-on TARDIS attached weirdly... these ones are gorgeous though.

I love this. I think I have to learn to knit now.

Seen here (she changes the skirt into the cape at 4:30): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDnlrfq5tQE

I'd love to make this sometime, though probably not for a while because I'm just learning to sew. But I've been wondering how a reversible skirt/cape like that could be made, particularly how it could close as a skirt? I feel like a zipper or velcro would show in the cape, and anything else would take longer to take off. Any ideas?
30  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Tea Wallet Tutorial on: February 15, 2012 02:47:19 PM
This is awesome! I tend to carry teabags loose in my backpack and they end up getting messed up, once to the point where the package and teabag broke open and the tea leaves got all over my stuff. I definitely want to make one of these.
