11  Re: panta! (from a finnish pattern). in Knitting: Completed Projects by princessliak on: December 13, 2005 12:22:51 PM
I tweaked the pattern a bit so it could have some cables in it - my dog is modeling it (and keeping her ears rather warm...)  This is a great way to use up some of my hoarded cotton ease...

12  Re: Circular Shrug- created by keridana, julsey723, guessica, and others... in Knitalongs by princessliak on: November 10, 2005 04:29:51 PM
I finished it, I really really finished it!  I am quite happy with myself, even though I think I won't wear it that often.  More of a milestone in my knitting life - not a scarf, not a hat, not an armwarmer!!!  I haven't decided on a button as of yet though!

14  Re: In A Box Swap- Gallery in The Swap Gallery by princessliak on: November 07, 2005 05:35:46 AM
I received a HUGE box-o-goodies from handbaghanna.  It sure brightened my day.  It had bath stuff - scrub, milk bath, soaps, lip balm and flower pens (I LOVE THEM!) and flower hair pins.  AND a huge tin of dog treats with stickers all over it.  My dogs heart this... and 2 cute as heck frames!!

It was a great swap and I had the most wonderful partner!

Yipee!  I just got my package from JiMi and it was a great surprise!  I love every item in it.  First, a large bag with beautiful fabric inside and out and beautiful pin and closures.  A wonderful bracelet or necklace that has magnets!  A handpainted pot with a scene from Alaska and seeds!  Now for the pictures!

The loot (my sewing machine was modeling the bag)

The bracelet (my hand is modeling it)

18  Simple hat with flower in Knitting: Completed Projects by princessliak on: August 29, 2005 10:48:38 AM
I knitted this up in no time for a 2 year old that was having a bday!  It was just on circulars with wool ease (on sale!) and then it seemed to plain so I knit a little flower and put that on it too!

the only model I had that would stand still was my stuffed dog (minus the nose thanks to my real dogs...)

19  depressed + swap loot = happiness in The Swap Gallery by princessliak on: August 29, 2005 10:46:33 AM
I was having a rather depressed moment when the doorbell rang and it was the mail lady.  I looked in my mailbox and it was junk mail (and the joanne's flyer), it seemed like a rotten trick to get me excited like that ... then, I looked on the ground and a fabulous blue spotted mailer was there!!! YIPEE!

I had the most wonderful swap partner and I feel bad that I didn't make near enough stuff or near as nice stuff... Alas... maybe we will be swapees again and I can make it up.  Here was my most wonderful loot!

A beautiful flower and gorgeous bracelets!!!!

A pouch, wristlet and flower!!!

And my sunflower stuff!!

Thank you again partner!!!

20  cabled wrist warmers in Knitting: Completed Projects by princessliak on: July 18, 2005 07:44:50 AM
I just finished a pair-o-wrist warmers that are cabled.  My first non-hat or scarft project!  My first cables too (who knew there were easy?)  It was a fabulous free pattern and I used up some of my lion's cotton ease that I have been hoarding....

Here is the cable

Here is the warmer!
