21  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / seashell scarf on: August 01, 2005 11:10:39 PM
hi there!  this is my first time actually posting a FO.  so please be gentle hehe Smiley
i recently signed up for a scarf exchange, and my secret pal lives in a very hot climate like me, so scarves are more of an accessory than anything Smiley  so i decided to knit a thin scarf out of cotton yarn Smiley  i then added some embellishments on the ends with some beads and seashells from my jewelry making stash.  the interesting thing about this is that instead of knitting it width wise (ie: casting on 10 stitches and working 100's of rows) i knit this length wise (cast on hundreds of stictches and worked about 15 rows).  it makes the pattern a bit more interesting Smiley

thanks for looking  !
