12  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / "Bead Soup" Swap on: July 12, 2005 02:41:38 PM
Anyone interested in doing a bead swap where we get rid of our leftover beads or collected beads that we've just never used?  It could inspire many new projects...
13  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Green stone necklace on: July 07, 2005 01:06:36 PM
I made this this morning.  I love summer, I'm down to working only 2 part time jobs and have no school anymore!  More time for this!

Made with some kind of green gemstones - jade, aventurine, etc.

Comments welcome.
14  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Shell Pendant on beaded necklace on: July 07, 2005 01:03:28 PM
Thanks to surfergrl311's turquoise beaded necklace w/ leaf pendant (see the Beads completed project board)  I had a desire to work with seed beads again...I haven't for a long time because I can't find a beading needle small enough, and have to string by hand

This is what resulted:

I'm thinking of adding another strand of just the light blue seed beads. Or should I just leave it as is?  Any thoughts?
15  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Brown Belt on: June 27, 2005 07:08:39 PM
I love this, and it seriously only took about 10 minutes and $5.00 Canadian to make.

It's made of brown thingies (I don't know what they're called) that are connected by brown "ouchless" hair elastics, and tied off with suede.

Pink pearls, quartz, faceted beads, and silver spacers:

Gemstone chips:  Amethyst and Sodalite:

Greeny bluey bracelet:

All are strung on plain ol' clear elastic cord.  Comments always appreciated!
17  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / My attempt at a long beaded necklace on: June 14, 2005 03:46:49 PM
Okay, I've wanted a long beaded necklace for a long time.  This is what I came up with this afternoon:

It's funny...I wanted the bead placement to be very random, but it took me a lot longer than anything I do that has a pattern.  I kept on stringing and restringing when I wasn't happy with something.

This necklace features bone beads, wooden beads, shells, glass beads, creamy e-beads, and semi precious stones (agate, leopard jasper, red jasper, unakite, and green jade).

Comments appreciated!

I have just recently become active on these boards because of a newly acquired digital camera, as well as a muscle tear that has forced me to stay at home.
18  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Various Bracelets on: June 14, 2005 01:02:49 PM
Here are some bracelets I made, pre-digital camera.  Again, most of my jewelry I either sell to people who commission me, or give as gifts - this is what I have around.

Green Bracelet with jade chips and green seed beads, three strands braided:

Purple glass bead and twisted wire bracelet, toggle clasp:

Purple and red glass bead memory wire bracelet:

Amber and Peach bracelet with triple strand, glass beads:

Amber, Orange, and Brown glass bead bracelet:

Blue stretch bracelet with plastic beads:

Any feedback always welcome!
19  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Beaded Earrings on: June 14, 2005 11:52:53 AM
Please check 'em out!  Most earrings I end up giving away, because my ears are very sensitive to almost all earrings except wood.

These are the ones I have kicking around, they're either my Mom's or to be given as gifts eventually.

Blue glass beaded ones:

Red glass beads and green cat's eye beads:

Green jade, seed beads, and green swarovski crystals:

Cream and turquoise coloured e-beads:

Any feedback is much appreciated!
20  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Unakite Necklace and Earrings on: June 14, 2005 11:45:29 AM
Here is a necklace and earrings set I made this morning, made with Unakite semi-precious stones and some kind of e-beads.

Any feedback is much appreciated.
