Okay, -most- of what Bloocanoe sent me is being used (the functional lightplate switches, and believe it or not, the fun little Christmas ornament) so I took a picture of my favourite thing -

Isn't it great?  Boho and brown. Smiley

And, here are a couple of the items I sent her (she received yesterday):

A couple of totes and a necklace made of heishi shells and sodalite chips.

Here are the 1" pins I received from an anonymous unconditional swapper in Toronto:

Thank you so much - I love 'em all!  My favourites are the pink plaid one, and the Enjoy Irony.

3  Beaded Cuff in Beads: Completed Projects by StarSix on: September 17, 2005 10:47:15 PM
I intended this to be a gift for my Mom's birthday, but if it fits me, it's way too small for her. (awww...)
Made of light brown and creamy pearl e-beads with goldstone.

Comments appreciated!

5  Long chain, wire flowers, and pearl necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by StarSix on: September 12, 2005 07:11:43 PM
It seems like I've been rarely making anything for myself lately, because of all the swapping I've been doing this summer, so I decided to try something new.

I really don't think my neck is that white - must have been the flash. Smiley

Ok, LaSandri wanted to see a picture of me with the hat she made me on.  I love the hat, hate the picture. Smiley  I should have just waited for my brother to do it for me I can't take pictures of myself!

I look very sad and angry, and I guess I was.  That was probably the first shot out of about 40 where both eyes were fully open.  (I made the picture smaller so you all won't be too scared!)

She also sent me a matching iPod mini cozy, and because she was sending to me for the DIY Craft Kit swap - she sent a  pattern and yarn so I can make myself a matching scarf!  I'm so excited.  What do you Americans call a hat like this, anyway?  Is "toque" just a Canadian thing?

7  Re: Long Loopy Necklace Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by StarSix on: August 22, 2005 10:34:21 PM
I received my necklace from Starpiste today.  And let me tell you - I needed a nice surprise.  My boyfriend of 3 years broke up with me last night, so this was especially appreciated today.  This necklace is very unique and nothing I would ever make myself, so I love it!  It's copper wire with small blue and purple beads.  I wore it to work today and got SO many compliments on it.

Sorry for the blurriness (and the closeup of my breasts...) If you have a better pic, starpiste, please post it!

Okay, Gink is AMAZING.  Everything she made me is either incredibly cool and funny or completely my style.  Or both. Smiley

First of all - because this is my favorite thing -
An ordinary book?

no!!

(Sorry, having problems rotating that picture.  But isn't it awesome!?)

And the rest of the goodies:  a gorgeous brown cord bag with an amazing green lining, a harry potter tote with blue flowered lining, and some super cool notecards with French comics on them!

Thank you Gink, I love everything!

YAY!  A package from PinkMafia was waiting for me when I got home today!  THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I wished for a purse or bag or something.  And this is awesome, I love it!

I also wished for beading supplies that I couldn't get here.  She included some great thrift store finds of jewelry and stones, as well as some shells used for leis!  Awesome, I love it all!  And it's definitely stuff I can't get in small town Northern British Columbia. Smiley
