1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Supporting a trellis on: May 22, 2015 03:39:39 PM
A little while back I picked up some expanding trellis from the dollar store, similar to these small ones. I want to use them as a table display for an upcoming convention, but I'm having issues with the logistics.
My intention was to use them so they expand vertically, but this means I'd need a way to "lock" them into the expanded position. This is where my brainstorming has fallen apart.
Any ideas, crafty folks?
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Brainstorming with bleach! on: June 14, 2012 04:21:42 PM
Howdy, all you crafty folks!

I'm making a purse out of denim, and I'm planning on decorating it using bleach. Right now, I'm considering either doing some space print type thing, or doing what someone else did here on Craftster with jellyfish, or something simliar.
I'm still not 100% sold on either idea(or combination thereof), so I thought I'd drop by and trawl for ideas! Any fun designs or ideas, just throw them out there!
It's a very simple purse, similar to a messenger bag, so there will be a nice flat surface, plenty of room to go crazy on. And the denim is quite dark, so there will be a great range of how things could stand out.
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Weighting plushes? on: January 30, 2012 07:44:15 AM
I want to experiment with adding beans or pellets or something to the bottom of my plushes to give them some good heft, and so they'll sit on their own, but I'm not sure how to go about it.
Do I put them in their own little pouch at the bottom so that it doesn't mix with the rest of the stuffing, or does that matter?

Thanks in advance!
