The world needs more sexy lions. lol

Great work, it looks fantastic.

Hot damn, everything looks so good! I'm not much of a bright colour fan, but I love these so much! ><
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Mixed media and acrylic welcome sign. on: August 15, 2012 11:49:49 PM
I love the colour scheme of it. The whole sign is quite spectacular. Great job!
4  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: How can I alter my husband's T shirts to a cute woman's T shirt??? on: May 08, 2012 03:59:40 PM
Here's some tutorials that may help:
http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/mens-ex-large-plain-t-to-womans-shirt-recon
http://www.trashtocouture.com/2011/11/old-mens-t-shirt-sewn-into-womens.html
http://hideyourarms.com/2009/09/29/how-to-customize-recycle-t-shirts/ (A few shirt-to-shirt tutorials, mostly shirt-to-all-kinds-of-things tutorials)

And you could always get a copy of that Generation T book - lots and lots of ways to re-use old t-shirts in them.

(I think this thread would've gone down swimmingly in the Sewing: Discussion and Questions forum. Smiley)
5  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Old perfume...? on: May 05, 2012 08:27:18 PM
(Not sure if this is in the right spot, sorry...)

I obtained three small vials of perfume (probably no more than 10mL in each of them, plus one of those little 5mL sample vials) from a friend who didn't want them. Only problem is: I don't wear perfume, and my partner won't let me sell them!

What should I do with all this perfume?
Can I use it to make bath products like bath bombs or something?
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: So much lace!! What to do with it all? on: April 27, 2012 05:14:55 AM
If you have any beige or white pieces, you could give 'em to me.  Cheesy

Here's some other (better?) ideas:
- Embellishments on shirts (i.e. lace around the cuff and collar of a blouse or cardigan, put ruffles on a shirt made of matching material lined with lace)
- "Victorian" cuffs (basically a strip of fabric with ruffles of lace on each edge)
- Lace pillowcases (stretch fabric, with maybe a ruffle of lace around the edge? or is that overkill?)
- Turn them into little works of art -> http://brazosvalleybride.com/2012/lace-embroidery-hoops/
- Make a lacey lampshade! Usually doilies are used but I don't see why stretch lace wouldn't work.

Hope they help. Smiley
7  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Re: Anime cosplay costume...Stocking on: April 16, 2012 05:26:36 PM
Your daughter makes for an adorable Stocking! Cheesy

The costume looks great, too. I love how you even decided to modify the length of the skirt based on your daughter's suggestion. (I know I couldn't cosplay Stocking or Panty due to their short skirts and such.)
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Help ! How to "unbitch" my dress ? on: April 01, 2012 11:36:53 PM
Lengthen the dress with different colours in the same fabric. Colour Block is in isn't it? *shot*

Don't know what to do about the lacy bits, though. Maybe just wear blazers and the like over the top...? Same-colour panels underneath the lacy bits...? Sorry, I'm baffled.
9  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Tasty ways to jazz up popcorn? on: February 26, 2012 10:02:36 PM
Try five-spice powder and a little bit of sugar.  (It's good.)

I second this. Best popcorn-topper combination ever.
