Okay, here is the front cover outside and inside for my book (haven't gotten to the back cover yet).  I plan on adding a bunch of fibers and ribbons to the binding on this so it will have a bit more punch when the book is finished.





I just turned 33 yesterday (hence, the date stamp at the bottom and the big number).  I thought it was fitting given the letters/numbers thing.



The verse is one my 5th grade teacher used to recite to us randomly whenever she felt like it.  She was one of my favorite teachers and I think that I am only now starting to understand why she chose that particular verse.

I made this for a Gothic Arch swap for another group.  I really liked the way it turned out.  I'm thinking of making a lot more of these to make a book like THIS.

Fantastic cards this month so far!  I love the "deck of me" too, and the fortune cards and embroidered strawberry card are great.

Well, since this card is sort of Halloween related I decided to put it here instead of my gallery.  This card was my alternate for the October challenge.  I thought there was too much pattern with the door and the clothes, but the kids are totally creepy.  Man, I hope my kids never make faces like that...

Wow, so I haven't been very productive art-wise (save one live swap where I had to make 15 cards) for most of the summer.  I'm back into it now with some experimentation with alcohol inks on photo paper.  I'd resisted getting these inks for a while (they're a bit expensive) but now I love them and can't wait to use them on everything.

Thanks WIPs!  Here are two more, and then I think I'm done for this week.  I made these for Queen of Fools as part of the Everyday Objects miniswap she, WYOKrista and I did.  They are called Key and Buttons.

There's a bit of joke in the key card.  One of the cards I made for WYOKrista (which you can see here) has a lock on it, and says "she holds the key."  Well, the she is Queen of Fools -- my idea was that Queenie's key doesn't fit the lock on her card, it only fits the lock on Krista's card, so although the two cards are separated, they are linked forever by design.

Muhwahahahaha....It's my key, mine I tell you!  It's okay to be jealous, though.   Especially when you see what I got from WYOKrista for this swaplet



The scan is a tad crooked.  Oh well.
